A Special Message from The Fatima Center February 13, 2013, the first day of Lent and the

eighth anniversary of Sister Lucys death With Pope Benedicts sudden announcement that he will resign as St. Peters successor at the end of this month, some people, in search of understanding, have begun to entertain obscure prophecies, the authenticities of which are also questionable. Fatima, on the other hand, has been verified as authentic by the greatest public miracle in the history of the world the Miracle of the Sun seen by 70,000 people, and predicted three months in advance. Many of the Fatima prophecies have thus far come true, including the predictions of a Second World War and the Great Sign which preceded that war. Moreover, seven consecutive Popes have endorsed the Message of Our Lady of Fatima. Pope John Paul II said that the Message of Fatima is so deeply rooted in the Gospel and the whole of Tradition that the Church feels that the Message imposes a commitment on her. But most important of all, Fatima is not finished. As Pope Benedict XVI said on May 13, 2010, on the anniversary of Our Ladys first appearance to the children, One would be deceiving himself who thinks that the prophetic mission of Fatima is concluded. In fact, the Triumph of Our Ladys Immaculate Heart, which will take place after Russia is properly consecrated to the Blessed Virgin by the Pope and the bishops, has yet to occur. At this time of transition, let us remain calm and in prayer. Our focus does not change in the midst of Pope Benedict stepping down and someone else taking his place. Please continue on as you have, to live the Fatima Message in your lives. Remember the Fatima exhortation to Pray a great deal for the Holy Father. Pray the Rosary every day, practice the First Saturdays devotion, and continue to petition for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. One day, Our Ladys Triumph will be realized just as She promised, and we will have a definite period of world peace. The identity of the Pope who ushers in that peace still remains to be seen.
