Since the external force does not act through the shear center stiffened channel beam will twist and bend. (a) Determine the shear flows due to F passing through the centroid (since you have 3 unknows, resultant force system equations are enough!) (b) Move the force to the shear center and, by using the outcome of part(a) and solution we performed in the class for the force passing through the shear center, determine the shear flows due to the torque applied (F x [distance between centroid and shear center]). (c) Determine the stiffener loads at a distance x from the free end for the case where F passes through the centroid. (d) Determine the stiffener loads due to F passing through the shear center (we partly solved this in class). (e) Finally, determine the stiffener loads at x distance from the tip of the beam due to torque (F x [distance between centroid and shear center]) acting on the stiffened beam.

Question-2 Determine web shear flows and stiffener loads for the tapered, idealized I-beam shown below at a distance x from the free end. The beam is subjected to a uniform distributed load w (N/m) per span of the beam.
