This is a visitor's brochure, published perhaps sometime in the early 1930s, to give basic information to those visiting this historic property and famous gardens, home then of the celebrated literary couple Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson. From my lecture of Vita's biography by Victoria Glendinning, this brochure was researched in the Kent archives and written by Harold Nicolson, an occasion when he discovered that his wife was related with the founder or some of the first owners of this picturesque English castle.
