Biblical Scientific Foreknowledge

The Bible is the most popular book in the world. Most reject its teachings because they
claim that it cannot be proved with science. What you will find here is an overwhelming
amount of scientific evidence contained within the Bible. The amazing reality is that the
scientific evidence within the Bible was written several thousand years before scientists
discovered it. The Bible is the most accurate ancient document that exists, and is not
disproved by science but rather supports it.

The Shape of the Earth

2800 years ago, when the shape of the earth was unknown or thought to be flat Isaiah
wrote that the Earth was the Circular in shape.

Isaiah 40:22 “It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like
grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain and spreads them out like a
tent to dwell in.”

-Christopher Columbus said that it was the Scriptures that inspired him to sail around
the world. He wrote, “It was the Lord who put it into my mind. I could feel His hand
upon me…”

The Earth hangs on Nothing

3800 years ago when the Earth was thought to be sat on columns or on animals, like on
the back of a turtle, the book of Job mentions that the Earth hangs on nothing.

Job 26:7 “He stretches out the north over empty space and Hangs the earth on
nothing.”

The Existence of Valleys and Mountains on the Sea floors

3000 years ago, it was impossible to know that there existed valleys and mountains on
the Sea and Ocean floors, yet again the Bible demonstrates this scientific knowledge
thousands of year before it was known. Even in our current day, it is difficult to
examine the depths of the Oceans.
2 Samuel 22:16 "The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth
laid bare at the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of breath from his nostrils"

Jonah 2:6 “I descended to the roots of the mountains. The earth with its bars was
around me forever, But You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.”

The Stars are Innumerable

In 150 B.C. Greek astronomer, Hipparchus declared that there are exactly 1,026 stars,
and even several hundred years ago, it was thought that there were only about 6000
stars.

The Bible, incredibly, stated 3500 years ago, when there were no telescopes, that the
stars were innumerable and unable to be counted. Today’s technology agrees with the
Bible, that the stars are truly unable to be counted.

Genesis 15:5 “And He took him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens, and
count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your
descendants be.”

Jeremiah 33:22 “As the host of heaven cannot be counted and the sand of the sea
cannot be measured, so I will multiply the descendants of David My servant and the
Levites who minister to Me.”

The Existence of Springs in the Ocean floors

Again, since even in our day, it is very difficult to explore the ocean depths it is an
incredible fact that nearly 3500 years ago, when it would be an impossibility to travel to
the ocean floors, the Bible gives great details of it.

Genesis 7:11 “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the
seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains, of the great deep
burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.”

Genesis 8:2 “Also the fountains of the deep and the floodgates of the sky were closed,
and the rain from the sky was restrained.”

The Weight of Air

Only until the last several hundred years, man was completely ignorant of the weight of
air, yet the Bible, to our amazement, declared it 3800 years ago.

Job 28:25 “When God fixed the weight of the wind and limited the water by measure”
God’s creation is made of invisible elements

2080 years ago, the world was ignorant on this subject, but God’s Word was not. Today
we now know that all matter is entirely made up of invisible elements called “Atoms”.

Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of
God, so that what is seen has been made from things that are not visible.”

The Bible teaches that God made man out of the dust of the ground or the
elements found in the ground!

Gen 2:7 “Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into
his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”

When broken down to its basic elements, it is evident that man’s body contains the
following sixteen basic elements: carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, fluorine, sodium,
magnesium, silicon, sulfur, phosphorus, chlorine, potassium, calcium, manganese, iron
and iodine. These basic elements all are all found in the dust of the ground!

How could man have wrote of this 3500 years ago, before this knowledge was studied by
man?

This overwhelming scientific evidence within Scripture can be ridiculed, overlooked and
ignored however, one thing is certain, it doesn’t go away. This truthful, information was
there thousands of years ago because an all-knowing God put it there, when He created
the Heavens and the Earth, (Genesis 1:1).
