Selected Guide to Civil Code Materials Available Through the World Wide Web Edited by Vicen Feli Foreign, Comparative, and International Law Librarian February, 2006 NOTICE: The purpose of this pathfinder is to assist in the identification and use of potentially relevant sources of legal information. Nothing in this document should be interpreted as legal advice.

Introduction
This pathfinder is a collection of the Civil Codes available online. The impetus behind this guide is based on the efforts of the Association Henri Capitant Louisiana Chapter to collect the Civil Codes of the world to support the primary goal of the Association in preserving and fostering the civilian legal heritage. While an effort was made to collect sites that presented the codes in their entirety, some codes are only available online as partial or extracted versions. Sites linking to abbreviated or partial versions of codes are marked as Extracts for the users convenience. Where possible, or available, the official versions of the code have been chosen as the preferred links. For countries where English is not the official language, and where English translations are available, the links to the English translations of the codes are provided. No representation is made in this pathfinder as to the accuracy or validity of these translations.
