1 INTRODUCTION AND WELCOME

2 PURPOSE AND OUTCOMES OF THE MODULE

8 ASSESSMENT
8.1 Assessment Plan The assessment process in this course reflect Unisa's assessment policy, which is available on the Unisa website. Assessment in this course is an ongoing process and involves formative and summative assessment. Formative assessment consists of two assignments totaling 25% of the final mark. Each assignment is given to illustrate how the assignment should be tackled. After the assignments follow a tutorial letter which the assessment criteria set out. Discussion groups and video conferences are offered. Summative ASSESSMENT involves taking a final exam (a paper of two hours) that 75% of your final mark. If you do not have a pass mark, you can get a re-qualify - See paragraph 9.3 in this tutorial letter.

8.2 Assignments 8.2.1 General We propose two assignments for this module. The assignments are listed in the back of this study letter. Assignment 01 is required for entrance exams to get, and you should therefore whether the submission deadline. 11.4 Subject Content 11.4.1 How do I take this course? It is important to first study 101 letter read. Here you will find information on all aspects about this module, such assignments, the examination and administrative matters. 11.4.2 What part of the job is important? All sections in the study are equally important and equally assessed in the examination. 11.4.3 How many assignments are there for this course? Two 11.4.4 Are the assignments compulsory? Without submitting Assignment 1 gets you admission to the examination. Kroniek uit die doofpot (John Miles) is weer 'n veelbekroonde roman waarin die lotgevalle van 'n swart polisieman gedokumenteer word. Tumelo John word verteenwoordigend van die individu wat deur die sisteem verkners word. Sy stryd teen korrupsie kos hom dan uiteindelik ook sy lewe wanneer hy deur sy kollegas vermoor word. Die verhaal is losweg gebaseer op 'n ware insident uit die tagtigerjare en is later deur die Waarheid-en-Versoeningskommissie (WVK) aangehoor. 'n Bespreking van hierdie indrukwekkende roman verskyn in studie-eenheid 5 van die studiegids (deel 2) en verskeie boekbesprekings of resensies in Engels is ook in die leesbundel beskikbaar. A. Introduction Die boeiende onderwerp wat ons saam in deel 3 gaan ondersoek, is die identiteit van die vrou en man en die verhoudings tussen hulle , soos dit in die eietydse Afrikaanse literatuur neerslag vind. Ons benoem hierdie onderwerp met die kritiese term gender. Die problematiek van gender is altyd implisiet teenwoordig in elke literre teks. Tog bly dit meestal onopgemerk of verswyg, omdat lesers stereotiepe aannames het oor die ware identiteit van man en vrou. Wanneer jy deel 3 deurgewerk en die aktiwiteite uitgevoer het, sal jy die werkopdrag kan beantwoord. Jy
