Teachers Comments: Sydney has been an absolute pleasure to teach this year. She has become confident and matured in her thinking. Sydney has developed excellent leadership qualities which I will be relying on next year. Sydney has made excellent progress in all areas of her learning and accepts advice. She is learning to ask for clarification with more confidence. Sydney challenges herself in everything she does and has learning to a peer tutor. She has developed a very comprehensive Eportfolio which shows evidence of her learning in both the curriculum areas and ICT skills. Teacher name:Ginny Mitchell Teacher Signature:

READING
Assessment Results: (from E portfolio) Sydney is reading well above her chronological age and is beginning to use strategies that will help her read between the lines to gain more meaning of the text. Sydney is beginning to complete follow up activities that show her comprehension of the texts being read.

How You Can Help at Home: Encourage reading for enjoyment. Visit the library regularly. Read to your child and listen to them read.

WRITING
Assessment Results: (from E portfolio)
Sydney has developed a real love for writing and really adds her personal voice to her writing. Sydney needs to continue to add more information and add more complex sentences in her writing to give the reader a broader picture of her ideas and intention for the piece of work.

How You Can Help at Home:

Have writing equipment available for your child. Get your child to write about some special events or letters to relatives.

MATHEMATICS
Assessment Results: (from E portfolio)
Sydney is working at Stage 6 and has gained a lot of confidence in Maths. She has good multiplicative skills and can use mathematical strategies across a range of curriculums as well as understands how to use them in everyday life. She has a very competitive nature and enjoys being challenged at rapid recall of times tables and basic facts knowledge. Miss Maths Queen well done.

How You Can Help at Home: Take your child shopping and get them to add up what things will cost. Play maths games in the car. Practise Times tables with them.
