We, the Chairs and Presidents of the undersigned Democratic Clubs and PACs do hereby show and voice our disdain, displeasure, dissatisfaction and disappointment of two of our democratic elected officials, State Representatives Marisa Marquez and Naomi Gonzalez, who have allowed their names and statements to be used in a letter, news release, advertisement and endorsement in support of the candidacy of a Republican candidate for State Representative, District 78, Dee Margo, that is in a contested race with a duly elected and viable nominee of the Democratic Party, Joe Moody. As a result of the actions of said representatives, we call for the condemnation, rebuke and censure of said individuals by the appropriate county, state and national party officials which should include, but not limited to a suspension of all democratic activities and recognition until they have in some fashion atoned for their disloyalty to the party, Mr. Moody and all democratic officials, nominees and candidates representing the party. We request that a copy of this letter be sent to the local county chair, the county executive committee, county and state elected officials and the national party chair for appropriate action.
