INTRODUCTION:

One of the countrys leading Oil and Gas logistics services provider. The company has two main line of business.

Liquid Terminal Division (LTD), wherein it undertakes storage and forwarding of Oil and Chemical products.
Gas Terminal Division (GTD) that stores and distributes Petroleum products such as LPG and Propane. Sumit Bhupal

Need For Implementing


Struggling with several inefficiencies at the backend operations that used old disparate systems without any integration Lacked automation across its key business processes prior to the SAP ERP
It used an FoxPro based accounting system and an Oracle software for payroll Then there were areas like GTD which werent computerized at all Sonam

Implementation
Siemens was chosen as the implementation partner and together they identified the infrastructural requirements for the ERP. A team comprising of Siemens personnel and Aegis inhouse IT staff took nine months to implement the project key modules includes: Oil & Gas for terminal operations and standard ERP modules covering functions such as procurement, finance, payroll, etc. Sreenath

SAP ERP package was customized to suite the requirement


Customization done to Oil & Gas module to maintain details pertaining to custom duties and levies in the ERP Since the materials stored are customs bound, they require to maintain information such as whether or not the customs and Octroi duty has been paid etc. SUDIST

Couple of months prior to the roll out


They began training the core users on the new system Entire transactions and operations shifted to SAP ERP
