APA Writing Overview


Come learn about (or review) procedure for citations, APA formatting rules, what constitutes plagiarism at the university level (and how to avoid it), direct quotation vs. paraphrasing, and integrating quotes into your own work.

The Job Search Series Part I: Developing your Professional Identity


Creating a strong professional identity is the first step in your job search process. This offering will assist you in determining the type of educator and professional you would like to be; it will also help you explore the types of contributions you can make in your career field. Come participate in engaging activities around self-awareness, professional behavior and commitment, theoretical beliefs, guiding principles, and working styles.

Introduction to Graduate Writing


This offering will include the following: writing as a multi-step process; techniques for self-editing & revision; common grammar & mechanics errors; comma usage; passive vs. active voice; and grammatical person.
