Because you are a loyal supporter of the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates in the area, I wanted you to be the first to know about a very special opportunity to attend a fund raiser for me. Youll be able to hear from a true Democrat who worked with one of the most colorful Democratic Members of Congress in recent history. The featured guest speaker will be Peyton Walters from Lufkin, Texas. Peyton was initially the District Director and later the Washington, DC Chief of Staff for the late Congressman Charles (Charlie) Wilson (D-TX) until Charlie retired from Congress. Walters provides unique insight into Charlies involvement in support of the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan, made famous in the book and movie Charlie Wilsons War. He will also provide some political insight on how a liberal Democratic Congressman was able to continually be re-elected in deeply conservative East Texas. The fund raiser will be on Friday, September 7th, with a social hour and silent auction beginning at 5:30 and with a Wisconsin Fish Fry Dinner Buffet and speakers to follow. It will be held at the Grand Meridian, 2621 North Oneida Street, Appleton. For those who dont want to miss this opportunity, I am offering three options for you to attend and assist me financially. Each level has its own set of rewards in addition to hearing Peyton speak.

Benefactor Level
$300 Minimum Contribution In addition to the Fish Fry Dinner Buffet and Social Hour Prior to dinner, all Benefactors will be seated with the speaker or other guests of honor such as Democratic Assembly Leader Peter Barca. Benefactors will be privileged to attend a private reception with the guests of honor and will also receive special recognition at the event.

Patron Level
$100 Minimum Contribution In addition to the Fish Fry Dinner Buffet and Social Hour Prior to dinner, all Patrons will receive reserved seating with special event guests. Patrons will receive special recognition at the event.
