Description

Born and raised on the streets of the Bronx, The Black Dot has been fortunate
enough to witness the birth of Hip Hop. At an early age, he was initiated into
the art form and has been a practitioner ever since.

He released his first album in 1988, under the infamous B-Boy Records label as
the lead Emcee of the rap group, “Tall, Dark, and Handsome.†In
1994, as a member of the underground rap group the Lethahedz, he released an
independent EP called, “A & R Killers, Da Hip Hop Play,†which
uncovered many of the injustices that are still relevant in the industry today.
He also toured the world as the hype man for Tim Dog, a Bronx legend in Hip Hop.

Today, The Black Dot does lectures on the science of Hip Hop at universities,
bookstores, and street corners. He is a former writer of 4 Korners, an
underground Hip Hop newspaper in New York City, and is currently working on his
next book.
