The Maine native rebelled at a young age (under 10!) against her parents' folky disposition and devoured as much rock and roll as she could find. Eventually, her parents convinced her to attend Maine Fiddle Camp, where they attended as performers and teachers to campers of all ages (babies to grandparents). And what do you know? Isa love the hell out of fiddle camp and met some important friends while she was there: Eleanor Buckland and Mali Obomsawin, who, years later, came to form the trio Lula Wiles. 392: Be Yourself With Priska: Priska, born Priscilla Liang, is a Taiwanese-American singer/songwriter from Los Angeles, CA. In Middle School, she experienced being bullied by her peers and turned to music as an important escape. She spent a brief time in Fuzhou, China, performing in a televised singing competition, Minnan Idol, in which she placed 2nd in the US and Top 30 overall. Priska is an avid supporter of the Asian-American community in Los Angeles and has been invited to play events for a number of Asian-American clubs and organizations such as TAP, Kollaboration, APA, AAJA, and more. She has collaborated with a number of musicians, most notably rapper Dan AKA Dan, and is currently completing her first solo EP for release in 2017. Priska used to be crippled with insecurities which is something we can relate to. A trip abroad helped her realize how being yourself was the remedy to become more confident and live her true self.
