Easy Breathing Meditation to Improve Mindfulness
Come into your breath, and your breath will ground you.
Learning to ground your spirit keeps your being whole.
Approach your meditation with an open chest –
Here is air, and there is life.
Allow yourself to settle into a comfortable position, palms open, body relaxed, and stable.
You are in control – it is time to discover the power of your breath.
As you sit, quiet, still, listen to your heart.
Hear the drum – slow, steady. You are a cycle, a pattern, a song.
Inhale for four counts – one, two, three, four,
And exhale for four counts – one, two, three, four.
Your breath brings your life.
Focus all of your mindful attention on the give and take of breathing.
Inhale for one, two, three, four,
And exhale for one, two, three, and four.
Inhale for one, two, three, four,
And exhale for one, two, three, and four.
As you inhale, imagine the universe swelling inside you –
All consuming, you breathe in – and become one.
Inhale for one, two, three, and four –
And exhale for one, two, three, and four – breathe out thanks.
Breathe out appreciation.
Your body, mind, and spirit come alive only with your breath –
And the universe is here to provide for you.
Inhale for one, two, three, four,
And exhale, complete, for one, two, three, four.
Once more, listen to the beating of your heart –
Take three more breaths, focusing on a silent mind and peaceful body.
Inhale for one, two, three, four,
And exhale, for one, two, three, four.
Inhale for one, two, three, four,
And exhale, for one, two, three, four.
Inhale for one, two, three, and four.
True breath brings true peace.
You have centered your breath. Inhale, and exhale, one final
