Little me, little thee, little bee. Who are we, who are thee, are we free?

Little me, little thee, little bee. Why do we face this tragedy, why do we cry and still believe we can fly?

Little me, little thee, little bee. Why don’t I recognise my reflection? Why do I pray for redemption? Yet still yearn for attention?

Little me, little thee, little bee. I see an enemy, it’s time to use my artillery

    Introduction

I miss it all. The smell of morning dew, the cluster of birds singing and the fluttering of fresh nature. The happiness of humanity, the noble services of our leaders, the echoes of the people and the tranquillity that is born from our dreams. I miss the collateral beauty.

Times have altered. Families have been divided. Father against son, daughter against mother and mother against father.

It saddens me to say that ever since the plague that turns ordinary human beings into Savages, I’ve been yearning for my life to perish. Fear incapacitates me. The light of hope has vanished in my vision. I no longer dwell in joy or laugh in happiness. Yes, many can say I should be grateful to be alive but, how can I? When my existence seems erroneous.

Rumours about the plague began in 2025. News report instigated information about the plague when a group of children were seen devouring another human being. Speculations indicated that the implant that was imbedded in most of us was a let-down.

According to our leaders, the most supreme companies of our time invented a seed that stipulates incredible strength and capabilities with a purpose of providing humans enough immune power for humanity to survive any airborne condition, survive astronomical spheres.

My family was fortunate not to get infected by this. When the time to implant was being marketed, we couldn’t afford it. I had to watch my peers at school brag about their ‘super human capabilities’ and everyone knew that my family couldn’t afford it, so for the rest of my school career, I was laughed at. Thankfully I only had one year left. But now is no time to think about the past.

Today is the day all the remaining people who were not infected to be transported to Africa. South Africa is the only place that has currently not been infected. The surviving nation. A place, which in its native translation means beautiful heavens, called AmaZulu; is where we are being located to.

    Chapter One

Uriah! hurry up demands my mother. She’s properly down stairs preparing breakfast. I stare at myself in the mirror for the last time. Analysing my reflection. My dark brown skin, the palpable black dot near my nose and the two on my cheeks. A clear jaw line that part of a stretched square head shape. I’ve been told my lips are thicker than the average person, my lower lips are tender according to the girls I adored, and my upper lips are seamless enough to make a suppose quick kiss turn into French kissing. I obtain broad shoulders with the height of 1.68m, arms that stretch my shirts and with lower physic that make me get accouple of stares from girls who think highly of themselves. I look okay, I guess.

I turn towards my luggage, place my last T-shirt in the bag and begin walking towards the door. Memories appear; Two years ago, my parent were on a business trip which I saw
