    My friend arrives in three minutes, Lincoln said. It was not the first time he had arranged a murder.

    Brittany, the middle-aged housewife from Queens, barely heard him. The view from seventy stories up was amazing. Far in the distance, you could see the bodega where she bought her lottery ticket. Several weeks and six hundred million dollars later, life was very different.

    Which is a better hashtag, she asks. Lottery fabulous or lottery life?

    Why post anything at all? Lincoln asks. What are you promoting?

    Oh, nothing, she giggles. There are just some people I’d like to rub it in with.

    Lincoln rolls his eyes; Typical ‘new money’ hijinks. She sighed with pleasure as she posted while rain slashed down from bruised skies. She picked up the bone china cup full of Silver Tips Imperial. Rich, steamy odors of expensive tea played across her face. All around her were hints of opulence. Soothing white noise of the audio surveillance system reminded her of the ocean. Lincoln’s polished brass banker’s lamp hid an expensive holoprojector. His butter-soft leather office chairs contained tens of thousands in nanotech.
