    Layered Soup Mix

    Ingredients

    a half cup barley

    a half cup dried split peas

    a half cup uncooked white rice

    a half cup dry lentils

    one tablespoon dried parsley

    one teaspoon granulated garlic

    one teaspoon ground black pepper

    one teaspoon salt

    a half teaspoon garlic powder

    one teaspoon Italian seasoning

    one teaspoon dried sage

    Preparation

    Take a wide mouth jar layer, divide peas, lentils, and rice.

    In a medium bag mix the parsley with pepper, garlic, garlic powder, salt, sage and Italian seasoning.

    Design the lid of the jar and tie seasoning packet with tape to the jar. Fasten a card of the recipe with these directions:

    Empty the jar contents into a filter and rinse.

    Put the contents in a medium stock pot add enough water to cover.

    Mix with one chopped onion.

    Let boil. Make the heat lower.

    Simmer covered for one hour, stir not very often.

    Check and if there is need add additional water.
