    Polish Dumplings

    Ingredients

    Sauerkraut Filling

    two tablespoons butter

    a half cup chopped onion

    one and a half cups sauerkraut, drained and minced

    pepper to taste

    Potato Filling

    three tablespoons butter

    a half cup chopped onion

    two cups cold mashed potatoes

    one teaspoon salt

    one teaspoon white pepper

    Dough

    three egg

    one container sour cream

    three cups all-purpose flour

    a quarter teaspoon salt

    one tablespoon baking powder

    Directions

    For the sauerkraut filling, let the butter melt in a medium skillet over a medium heat. Mix with the onion, and cook for five minutes till becoming translucent. Pour the drained sauerkraut and continue cooking for five more minutes. Season with pepper and salt, then transfer to a plate to cool.

    For the potato filling, let the butter melt in a medium skillet over a medium heat. Add the onion, and cook till becoming translucent for about five minutes. Mix with the mashed potatoes, then season with white pepper and salt.
