Bev Aisbett, a trained counsellor, is the author and illustrator of 17 highly regarded self-help books for sufferers of anxiety and depression, most notably the national bestsellers Living with It: A Survivor's Guide to Panic Attacks and Taming the Black Dog: A Guide to Overcoming Depression. INTRODUCTION
Yes, I hear you. You’ve been hurt badly. Things have been tough from the very start. Life just seemed to throw it at you…challenge after challenge, so many you hardly recovered from one before there was another!
God knows, I’ve had more than my fair share too. (It’s all part of my research!)
And, just like you, I have at times lamented my lot, raged at the unfairness of things and blamed all and sundry (including God!) for placing me in painful situations.
That is, until I knew better.
If you feel that life has been unfair to you, through no fault of your own, this book will challenge you.
I make no apologies for that.
My aim is to empower you to free yourself from the prison of the past.
Of course, you will need to be WILLING to do that.
If you are, take a deep breath, be brave, be honest…and be free.
