      The room is dark. It's late. Another sleepless night.

      A dim desk lamp sits on an old wooden desk with some paperwork and a dirty ashtray holding a still lit cigarette. File cabinets fill the room, some open, some frantically closed, with the only other furniture being a desk and two chairs.

      A man sits on one behind the desk. He is aged, but bares a ruggedly handsome face. Bags droop under his eyes, ones that he has earned from years of stress and anxiety. In front of him lays a nearly full cup of coffee and an almost empty Bourbon glass.

      He is eyeing a new case. 13 Found Dead in Field: Smith’s Husband Wanted for Murder. The man picks up the cigarette and takes a slow inhale. He picks up the glass of bourbon, takes a sip, then pours the rest into the coffee. A large swig finds itself down the man's throat before he returns to the paper.

      Lubbock Texas… That’s a long drive… But the money’s good. He stands up and walks over to the hat rack. He is dressed in a brown trench coat, he is a tall and well–built gentleman. He puts his matching brown Trilby hat on and firmly secures it. He grabs his briefcase and, in a hurry,
