This book was written first to open the door of salvation to the unbeliever and second to open the mind of the Christian believer to know they must get busy doing the work of the Lord while it is day. May it prepare the children of the Kingdom of God to witness in an effective way with much power, dismissing all fear?

The Author’s Heart

From what I can remember growing up, the children respected older people and authority; the church leaders, bishops, elders, pastors, deacons, teachers, the church mothers, government leaders, the police, etc. I also remember a time that respect was the way of life growing up. We did not talk back to parents and the community looked out for your kids. If something happened they would tell your grandparents or parents. I remember my mother preparing us for ministry by making us attend church services, having home Bible Study twice a week, fastening all day (no food or water), and praying for hours at a time. I also remember that my mother Naomi Melvin at this point and time, started off as a church evangelist. She had her name printed on the front of her Bible. It read Evangelist Melvin. I didn’t have a Bible at the time so I borrowed hers to use while reading and teaching others on a navy ship, not knowing that one day I would become an ordained evangelist. I was a young deacon in a small Baptist church learning how to study and understand faith in God. A young minister by the name of Carl Hopkins, a fire starting preacher and a very good friend of mine, would tell it like it Was. I had the chance to get to know him as a brother and a teacher. He had a good awareness of the future and events to come. Just 6 years later, I got the chance to preach my first sermon titled the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Now, just as John the Baptist and Jesus Christ did, I am a Kingdom preacher who will preach the gospel saying, The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

DREAM OR VISION

Dreams

Many Eastern cultures throughout Biblical times have taught that their gods talked through dreams. The Kings of Egypt, Babylon, and Persia needed dream interpreters to decipher cryptic scenes from their dreams. In these times, the prophets were the listeners and the priests were the talkers. They would take the requests of the people to God, and then ask God to forgive, heal, or bless them as they brought an appropriate sacrifice to the temple.

Visions:

Bible writers sometimes used vision as just another word for dream; but in many different cases, visions seems to refer to an experience during a trance or perhaps even an out of body event. Numbers 12:6-8 says, "I, the Lord, speak to prophets in visions and dreams, but my servant Moses is the leader of my people. He sees me face to face, and everything I say to him is perfectly clear.’’

These are some of God’s favorite ways to contact prophets written in the Bible. The four main methods of communication to His Prophets or Ministers would be:

1: Dreams

2: Visions (a trance like state)

3: Angel Messengers

4: The sound of a celestial voice

Today God use the same methods to communicate in addition to the Bible, His Testimony to man, and what we call the WORD OF GOD.

In the early 1990’s, while I was living in Long Branch, New Jersey, I had a dream from God. This is what I remember at that time in my life:

I was still serving in the U.S. Navy after a tour in Iraq and Kuwait. We had just finish up the war known as Operation Desert – Storm and returned home after a nine month victory. At that time I was stationed at the Early Weapon’s Station base in New Jersey, and earlier that year I was relocated from Norfolk VA. After servicing most of my enlistment, a few years went by and President Bill Clinton was in his first term as President of the USA.

I was in my house lying down for the night from a long day of work. The Heavens were opened and I saw a vision of Jesus Christ, the Son God, coming in all His glory.

The reason I call this part of the book dreams and visions was because dreams are usually at night time and visions usually happens during the day.

This Vision happened to me when I was sleeping in the morning, after day break.

The vision, its meaning to me, and what I now believe it was:

In this vision, I was in my grandmother’s house in Daytona Beach, Fl., where I’ve grown up most of my childhood life. Now in most dreams that people have, most places mean a dwelling place or a house of rest. I was on the front porch of this house that looked similar to my grandmother’s house. I thought to myself, Why not just go in there and see who’s in this house, but as I went into the house for a little while, I noticed that there was suddenly a loud noise in there. The signs of great confusion and conflict broke out in the house and I was being pushed back from the inside of the house onto the front porch.

As I backed out of the house, I raised my right hand towards heaven and power was given to me to rebuke evil spirits. As I began to rebuke the crowd of people, I looked and behold, I saw them fall back into the house. I remember thinking to myself while I was resting that I could not control myself or see who was in this house or in this dream even if I wanted to. I know now that I had seen the power released from God to man just as Jesus said it would be, but if you only believe in him.

I left the porch and went out of the gate. I began walking down the street preaching the good news about Jesus Christ. Although I went down the street telling the people about the goodness of God and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, some people listened and received Him and others did not.

I do not know how long I was walking down the street. I just remember that as the Dream progressed, I approach a Caucasian male. As I told him that Jesus Christ was coming, the man asked me a question in anger. His words were very upsetting to me. This is what he said, Where is this Jesus that is supposed to come? I am tired of hearing about Jesus coming".

Still, as I listened and heard his question about where is Jesus, suddenly the message changed out of my mouth about Jesus Christ is coming to HE IS HERE! WOW, WOW!!

With this in mind, at that moment, I began to point up to the heavens behind me to show him Jesus. We both were looking and watching the skies, and there, the Son of God appeared in all His glory and I became very confident in His coming.

I looked up at Him and in the clouds I could see Jesus Christ in the air with such glory and brightness all around Him. I knew it was the Son of the living God. I could see beautiful angels that were with Him and all around Him. It was so amazing to see this beautiful sight.

Although I had showed the man Jesus Christ and His coming in the dream; for some reason the dream took on another turn. I was taken to another area in a city I didn’t know. I was walking down the street in this city. I remember the city had nice streets, big buildings, beautiful cars and other vehicles on the streets. All of a sudden, there were great earthquakes that broke out and went all throughout the earth.

That city where I was standing began to shake and the streets began to crack. I found myself running for safe ground to walk on, but suddenly I was taken up so that I could see the earthquakes that went all throughout the Earth, and there was great destruction all over the land along with terrible accidents and big buildings coming down. There were fires and great explosions everywhere. It was very terrifying to see houses in ruins, cars running into telephone poles and being swallowed into the earth. I remember thinking to myself, So much damage and loss of life. How could this be?

After I had witnessed this event, everything began to fade out and became white. I had awakened out of my sleep puzzled.

I remember trying to go back to sleep so I could see what else had happened.

I did not know how to explain something like this to anyone at the time, so I questioned, Would they believe this vision or is this a dream that felt real to me?

Could this be a warning from God or did I just want to move in the same power that the Holy Bible spoke of in scriptures?

THE SECOND DREAM:

About the first week in April of 2003, when George W. Bush was President of the United States, I had another dream. I noticed that some things were similar to the first dream I had about ten years ago. The place was the same. I was back at my grandmother’s house in Daytona Beach, Fl.; however, a different warning came out of this dream.

This time I was in my grandmother’s house and in the room that my wife and I stayed in while when we visited the family.

I was talking to my wife about something; maybe the coming of Jesus Christ or walking together in ministry. For some reason we kept going to the window in that room and we kept looking up to the heavens. We only saw the black sky along with stars were the first time. For some reason we kept going back to the window. We returned to the window yet again.

This time, we saw a bright orange color coming out of the dark black sky. It seemed to get brighter and brighter as we continued watching. As we looked into the sky, a sudden fear came over me. This was not the fear of someone not being saved, but the fear of not completing a task or assignment. In my mind in this dream, I was saying that we needed more time to reach more people for Jesus Christ.

Both of us saw the sky opening up and one that looked like the Son of God was coming out with his Holy Angels. I remember us saying, Lord, not yet. We need more time to save more souls for the kingdom.

When my wife and I went back to the window, the sky returned to how we first saw it; black and dark again. I began to thank God for gracing us with another chance to spread the Good News of the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ: to compel men and women to come into the kingdom of God that they may live forever, Amen.

Now it was over two thousand years ago when Jesus urged to his disciples to start spreading the good news of the gospel. He told them to start with the Jews first, then the Gentiles.

Jesus told them to pray ye therefore to the Lord of the Harvest that he may send forth laborers into the harvest (Matthew 9:37-38).

After Jesus looked at the great multitude, He then moved with compassion on them, because they fainted and were scattered abroad as sheep having no shepherd.

Notes and Reflection

KINGDOM BUSINESS

God has always been a King, and there has always been a kingdom, and there always will be a kingdom. But this one kingdom appears in different ways at different times – it looks one way with Adam and Eve, another way with Abraham. It is transformed again with the nation of Israel, and transformed again with Jesus and the church. We are now in the kingdom, but there are weeds growing in among the grain.

Note: In Isaiah Chapter 32 verse 1 it reads:

A king shall reign in righteousness and princes shall rule in judgment. In Isaiah chapter 9 verse 6 it reads:

For unto a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder. And he will be e called wonderful counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end. Upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever.

If we were to study the dispensations we would see that grace is almost up and we will enter into another dispensation called the millennial age.

And then King Jesus there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: His dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Five Great World Kingdoms of Daniel

There were more than (5) world kingdoms in history. Daniel wrote only about his time and King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Nebuchadnezzar was the king of Babylon in 606 B.C. starting in the times of the gentiles.

The Colossus Image:

Head of Gold –Babylon

Chest and Arm of Silver – Medo- Persia

Belly and Thigh of Bronze- Greece

Leg of Iron-Rome

Feet of Iron and Clay-The Divided Kingdom

Now turn to Daniel. The Book of Daniel may be divided into two parts. The first six chapters are Historical, the last six are Prophetical. The Book contains one Dream by Nebuchadnezzar, and four Visions by Daniel, all relating to the Times of the Gentiles. Nebuchadnezzar in his Dream saw a "Great Image or COLOSSUS. The Head of the Image" was of fine gold, its Breast and Arms of silver, its Belly (Abdomen) and Thighs (Hips) of brass, its Legs of iron, and its Feet of iron and clay. This Image was destroyed by a "Stone cut out of a mountain supernaturally. The Stone" in turn became a great mountain and filled the WHOLE EARTH. Dan. 2:31-35. The four metals of which the "COLOSSUS" was composed represented Four Worldwide Empires which were to arise in succession. Dan. 2:37-40. Four great Empires, and only four, were to succeed each other in the government of the world, from Nebuchadnezzar (B. C. 606) to the Second Coming of Christ—the Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Grecian, and Roman. These Empires are not only made known as to number, but their names, in the order of their succession, are given. The First—"BABYLONIAN is indicated by Daniel while interpreting the vision to Nebuchadnezzar. THOU art this Head of Gold."
