01.jpgH ow do you define gracefully design? Some people have their own definition of grace and of design. I will define the two terms by the dictionary. What I have found in Webster’s New World Dictionary including Student Handbook of the words gracefully and d esign?
The defection of gracefully is based on the noun grace. Gracefully grace` ful-ly adverb—grace.ful (-f’ l) adjective having grace (sense1). The word grace means Grace, (gras) noun < Old French< Latin gratia, pleasing quality
My story begins I was a very shy quiet girl; basically, the middle (baby girl) child of three children of Jesse Bobby
and Janquiet Jackie
Ruth Fields Gates. My eldest sister’s name is Jan Carita Gates and my youngest brother’s name is Jason Phillip Gates.
Within my family, my dear friends and my cousins call me, Jam Jam, Jamie Lou, Jamie Sue, Jamie Lynn, Jamie Frances, Jamie Re, Boo-Boo, Baby Girl, Sunshine, Cutie, Sweetie, Sweetheart, Pookie, and/or just plain old ‘J’
.
My parental grandparents are Herman Train
and Jessie B. (Edmond) Gates. Herman’s parents were Jack and Pearlie King Gates. Jessie’s parents were John Edmond and Martha Mae Winn. I assumed searching at Ancestry.com. The U.S. Federal Census in 1940 placed my great-grandfather (my parental grandmother’s father) Jesse Edmond was a yardman, which in today’s society, we would called either a gardener or a landscaper. He worked fourty hours a week in a private home industry. He rented a house, the highest level of education: 6th Grade, Elementary School.
Out of my parental grandparents’ union were blessed with four sons:
(1) John Gates
(2) Robert Gates
(3) David Gates
(4) Jesse Gates.
My maternal grandparents are Belva and Frances Lenora (Hadley) Fields. Belva Fields’ parents are named Harry (Peg ram) and Lucie Wallace (Brooks) Fields. Belva Fields was the baby boy of this blessed union. Harry’s siblings were named Otis, Norman, Bonnie, Olun, Magnolia, and Melvin Fields.
But, Lucie Wallace (Brooks) Fields was married first to either Ray or Ralph Brooks and yet, three children were born M.T. Brooks, Texana Brooks Wallace, and Katie Brooks Roquemore. Lucie had ten siblings named Elias Wallace, Fredrick (Fed) Wallace, William (Bill) Wallace, Johnson Wallace, Sam Wallace, Leona Wallace, Sarah Wallace Guinn, Elmita Wallace Walls, Catherine Wallace Walls, and Anne Wallace Fields. Lucie was the baby girl of the Wallace clan.
Frances Lenora Hadley’s story was part of a truly awesome Hadley Family History
