Pamela has never buried the talents
she was blessed with; instead, she has followed her calling from the Holy Spirit to communicate with all of us through her inspired prose & poetry. Now, in From His Lips to My Ears
, Pam has brought her fondly remembered Irish gift of gab
to the pages of this book. It also encompasses her unshakable faith in God, family & a universal spirituality.
Let this little book take you there & back
…. And deep inside yourself… where she has; and you will… find God.

What Will My Legacy Be
When my life here has ended,
will mankind remember me?
Will I have helped my fellow man?
Will I leave a Legacy?
Did I work to make a difference,
in the lives that I had touched,
or will I have regrets of what
I could have done,
but didn’t care too much.
When I knew someone was
in need of me,
did I offer myself and stay
or was I so wrapped up in me
that I turned and walked away?
Did I give all I had, without ever
counting the cost?
Did I answer the cry
of those in need?
When I had only a little to give,
was I willing to give it all?
Was I waiting for just the
right mission,
one that would suit myself;
I could have made a difference,
but instead I held out for
a trophy on a shelf.
Each one of us is chosen,
for a unique and special
task, you see;
when the Lord calls your name
and beckons you Home,
what will you leave as your Legacy?

The Words We Use
There’s a right and there’s a wrong way,
to say what’s in our heart;
the problem is that many times,
we don’t think before we start.
So many times, there’s nothing
bad about the way we feel,
it’s when we come from that
angry place, that our words
don’t carry much appeal.
If we choose to attack the ones we love,
with words that cut so deep,
we can never expect for them to hear,
the message we attempt to speak.
When I was just a little child, I heard
somebody say, that sticks and stones
could break my bones, but words
wouldn’t hurt in any way.
Now that I have grown, I learned that,
that’s not true, for words spoken in anger
many times leaves us broken in two.
My advice to all, if you truly care,
to have your thoughts be listened to;
be sure that your words come
across with Love, and not an
attack that you can never undo.

The Wisdom of Wisdom
We offer you our Wisdom; you say, no thanks,
leave us alone.
We wanted to tell you our story but, you reply,
we’ll write our own.
We tried to light the road for you to help you
find your way.
But you believe that you know best;
so often you tell us to just keep away.
When you were new upon this earth,
it was our hands you reached for first;
we lifted you up as high as we could,
so you would be able to quench your thirst.
When you were still so little, you had
questions for us galore; why this way Mom,
what’s that for Dad? We no sooner answered,
when you came back with more.
There were times, to be honest, we felt plum
wore out from the Wisdom you begged us to share.
Now, all too often advice you so need is received
with a shrug like you don’t really care.
During the early years of your life, you could
never get enough of what we older folks knew.
Now is seems, that you know more than we,
at least that’s the sense you have given to me.
We all must grow our own way; that part we
understand, but the part that hurts us is when
you let go before we can put our Wisdom
safe in your hands.
We had to learn it in our own time; someday,
you’ll learn it too; that the older folks
have the Wisdom you need, and they
deserve to be heard by the young people like you.
So now that we’re much older, with wrinkles
and some grey hair; don’t think for a minute
that we’ve lost our hold, the Wisdom we’ve
collected is more priceless than gold.

Your Gift
The world can never believe in you,
until you truly believe in yourself.
A talent left unrealized, is as worthless
as a trophy, forgotten on a shelf.
Ask an accomplished Artist about their
journey; their ultimate fate;
they’ll tell you the road was long and steep,
but the view from the top was unspeakably
Great!
Did you think it was going to be easy,
to reach the coveted Brass Ring
?
Ask anyone who has; they will tell you,
it seemed the most impossible thing.
But was it all worth the effort they spent;
they’d change not a moment
of the direction they went
The good news is this; you still have
tomorrow, to begin to see your life
in a whole new way.
The bad news is you have no time to dally,
for your tomorrows are swiftly melting away.
Now, is your time
, it won’t come again, for you
to embrace this priceless gift.
It’s a Gift designed just for you alone;
God made sure it was a perfect fit.
Your life is at a crossroads now,
it is only you who can decide;
do you truly want to finish your race
,
or settle for watching the rest go by,
as you merely sit on the side?

The Simple Things
There’s something about the whistle of a far
train;
the beating of raindrops on a window pane;
watching our Country’s flag blowing in
the breeze,
and the song of the wind through a grove
of Pine trees.
What is it about these Simple
