    Conclusion

    INTRODUCTION

In the summer of 2010 God spoke to my heart instructing me to write three books. I had never written a book before so the size and scope of the task laid out before me seemed astounding, but God provided for each and every step of the process. During my thirty years in the ministry God has led me through various endeavors and not once has He instructed me to engage that He has not provided. Over the years the Lord has led me into many varied studies ranging from astrophysics, quantum mechanics, micro, and macro biology along with a continued study into the languages used in the writing of our Bible. These eclectic and diverse studies have led me and many who know and love me to wonder why God would lead me thusly. But now the reasons have become very clear. Although I have never received a formal education through the world of academia I have become very knowledgeable in the mentioned areas of study. My youngest daughter who holds two bachelor degrees along with many of her friends lovingly refer to me as daddy Google.

It is my heartfelt desire and belief that all who seek a better relationship with our Heavenly Father will find this book a valuable tool. Genesis: The King Promised will enable you to search the book of Genesis using what I believe is one of the best and most complete commentaries that has been produced. I know that the Holy Spirit inspired and wrote this work using me only as the typist. This commentary contains many of the tools necessary for one to defend the accuracy of the Holy Scriptures in the area best known as apologetics. In apologetics the amount of diversity you need to accurately recognize and respond to the never ending assaults against the validity of the Bible is large, especially in the area of the first eleven chapters of Genesis. These eleven chapters contain all of the main doctrines of the Bible and have become the area where Satan has focused his attacks over the past several years. It is here that the minds and hearts of many are either won or lost forever with some of the simplest questions being the deciding factor. The Scriptures state that God made everything and that the world is thousands of years old. It is not the millions or billions of years that the secularists insist upon. Our children need to know this truth. Many, including theologians, have accepted the lie of evolution and believe it to be a proven scientific fact. The truth is evolution has been refuted by scientific discoveries over and over again to the point that only the most dogmatic of evolutionist continue to believe in it. In spite of this the false theory is still taught as fact throughout our entire education system and is continuing to mislead generations of our children. They grow up and enter into adulthood believing this lie. This is the springboard that has lead to most of the disbelief we find in our children. And now we have several generations that are being ravaged by the secularists separating them from the faith of their fathers and endangering their eternal destination. The most fundamental law of physics states that the entire universe is winding down, this is known as the second law of thermodynamics. This fundamental law prohibits anything from gaining more complexity or more structure and order in any way other than its original state. This is only one of the many areas which I have included in this work that contains the evidence of the scientific laws and the very debates surrounding the subjects in question. I believe that if you are serious about understanding the book of Genesis and the remainder of the Bible you will be aided by using this book.

Recent research has shown that ninety per-cent of our youth who enter college as professing Christians have by their graduation left the faith, and sadly some never return. This is due to the relentless persecution of the public education system from kindergarten onward demeaning our children for their faith and constantly subjecting them to the lies of evolution with the billions of years being taught by the established education system. Throughout this work and especially in the first eleven chapters I have demonstrated that these lies are simply that, lies. And Satan intends to steal whole generations sending them into eternity separated from God using these lies. We must not allow Satan to win this battle. There fore it is my heartfelt hope and prayer that everyone will obtain this book and use it to combat the lies of Satan and save our children.

I would like to thank my life-long friend Cathy Jones from Kenly,NC for her work in painting the cover for this book. She has taken the vision God gave me and brought it to life. The painting fully captures all of the visual inspirations which God had given for the cover. I would challenge you to examine the cover looking for those insights which are contained therein. The painting is titled Eden. The two trees represent the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge. Note the cross represented in the tree on the left, the Tree of Life. The bench represents the fellowship that man had with God before the fall; notice it faces the cross as the restoration of fellowship with God has been made possible through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. The fence denotes the separation between God and mankind after the fall but notice that the lock is shaped in the form of the cross. The cross is the way back.

THE FALL OF MAN; GOD’S PRINCIPLES ESTABLISHED

    CHAPTER 1

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Here begins the journey of faith. This verse states that God created all things so if one does not believe in this beginning then nothing else that follows will matter.

Upon examination, the Bible concludes that about six thousand years ago God, in an act of unparalleled greatness, called into existence all things. We will start our journey into examining the truths and some of the mysteries that God’s Word contains by looking into this statement of faith. What we will now attempt is to take each word in the first verses of the Bible and break them down and examine them showing their meanings and hopefully the intent of the author in using the words and phrases chosen to express the story of creation.

As I said before, some six thousand years ago all that we know was called into being. Now secular scientists today have stated that they have conducted tests that in their minds concluded this statement is, according to their understanding, incorrect in large part because of the now-known readings of the age of the universe and all that is within it. Some of their tests declare that the world along with the stars among other things is of great age.

Until recent times, more specifically until the latter part of the twentieth century these tests and their conclusions as to the age of the universe had remained unchallenged by people of faith, the church, or Christian scientists. Now through the work of many scientists it has been found that the processes the secular scientists used to determine the age of rocks and other older artifacts are not valid. In fact their whole understanding of how old the universe and everything within it is now known to be flawed. These flaws now show the former processes of determining age are in question and thought by a growing consensus of modern scientists to be without merit. The system that had been used by those who do not believe in the Genesis account and had attempted to cause people to doubt the truth of God’s Word has fallen into disrepute.

Knowing that humanity will continue to try to bring doubt in regard to what God’s Word says about the time of the beginning, Christians must continue to be vigilant and on guard. The secular world has continued to insist that it is correct and refuses to admit that the recent discoveries are valid. No doubt the battle will exist as long as people refuse to believe in God.

These discussions continue to gain momentum as the means of determining the ages of rocks and once-living things has now been discovered to be so greatly flawed that the entirety of known age is in effect no more convincible to reasonable scientists. Not only the method of carbon dating but many other methods have fallen into complete disrepute, leaving the secular scientists without any means of determining age other than those measurements that can be documented by humans either in history or other similar means.

Also with these new developments there are new, and to some startling discoveries being made by some of the newer satellite-based telescopes about details of space that appear to show the great distance once thought to make up the universe are in fact becoming suspect themselves.

Some of the more exotic telescopes are showing that galaxies once thought to be hundreds of light years away are connecting with galaxies that are much closer to the earth, proving they cannot be as far away as once thought. These, along with many other findings of science, are putting to the test the secular world and its atheistic beliefs.

One question that remains is in the venue of how much time has expired in our universe. The question then becomes one in which we ask, does the known recorded past contain more time than what the Bible states as factual? Can we now say without question that the Bible was correct all along? The answer is yes.

Having addressed only the surface of this issue, I will move on to other areas of discussion as these issues are still in flux with truths coming to the surface as the time and resources of the new scientists begin to shed new light on these old questions and debates. Scientists who are no longer afraid to voice their beliefs for fear of being blackballed or driven out of their perspective professions are now speaking out proclaiming many of their new discoveries.

Over the years many Christian scientists have lost their jobs and careers because of the unnatural pressures that have originated in the realms of the academic and governmental sources which have tried to stifle true science, as they obviously feared the truth. There are many questions that we will encounter in our journey of exploration: I hope to address these with a clear and fair look, not willing to be deterred in our search for the answers and most importantly, the truth.

This issue of elapsed time is actually quite complicated, as it involves, indirectly and directly, our overall understanding of the related areas of space, matter and energy. Time, as it has been shown, is a factor of the relative relationship with space, matter, and the energy that comprises both at some level. Albert Einstein showed how time is relative to both or a factor that should be measurable within the framework of each. Now, to say that only a certain amount of time has elapsed, and this assumption then being made in relation to what has been materially produced, then lends itself to a wide area of conjectures, which are then relative to the person making the comparison. In other words, each person, depending on his or her perspective, will approach this subject with a previously formed opinion that offers a conclusion that can be challenged only by other assumptions, as we have no true measurement of elapsed time that fits any degree of wide agreement. I have said all this to reach this final conclusion: with what we now know, the amount of elapsed time can be measured by examining the materials produced and reaching a conclusion based on the true data.

The next question we encounter is the question as to what or who is God? In the Hebrew, the word used to introduce us to God is Elohim. This word in the Hebrew stresses God’s strength, majesty, and omnipotence. The word is also plural, suggesting a plurality of gods, not s singular all-powerful god even though we are sure that our God is of a unique mysterious nature reveled as a triune being of three in one.

This has long been part of the mystery of the God of Abraham. This name is used throughout the book of Genesis to define the creator and his interaction with the creation. The –im ending is the Hebrew plural ending, which is used in other places to indicate many pagan gods. Even though the word is used as a singular, it is a uniplural noun, suggesting the uniplurality of the Godhead. It is because of this that we know that when used here and in the other places in the Bible, it is not in the plural form but used as a description of the uniqueness of the God of the Bible as the triune Godhead.

In actuality, what we see with the -im ending is the declaration by the author of Genesis that the totality of the Godhead was in fact engaged in the continuing acts of creation, as each played a particular part in the whole. As we will see moving forward, the Holy Spirit was the causal agent in performing the acts of creation, while the Father’s thoughts were the inspiration behind the creation. Then the Son was the enacting force behind implementing those thoughts and intents, and the third part of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit, was the power that enacted and caused all things to be. We see this alluded to in Scripture where it is said in relation to Jesus in John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. This is just one of many statements in the Bible that declare the involvement of the second part of the Godhead, describing not only how Jesus become directly in control of causing all things to be but also the Holy Spirit, who was the casual agent as the third part of this triune God, was involved. In no way should anyone suggest that what is inferred here indicates a belief in the concept of a number of gods, but we see clearly that our God is one God and not the many gods of the pagan systems. This is again a part of the uniqueness of Elohim.

So far I have addressed the term of in the beginning and touched on the identity of God. Next, we will look at the word used to express the idea of creation itself trying to determine if what is written matches the intended use of the word chosen to express it. I should also include here the understanding that the belief in the Father as the beginning and as the creator God is a means of receiving salvation, as was discussed in the scriptures. This belief in the Father as the creator was the belief that Abraham had, and this was accounted unto him as faith. This is seen in James 2:23 (KJV). And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

This statement means that when Abraham heard the voice of God speaking to him, he believed this voice was the only true God, who was the creator God. Because Abraham believed this basic truth, he was rewarded by having this belief accounted unto him as true faith. Thus he received a saving knowledge of God and paved the way for all of humankind to receive this blessing. This simple act of faith on Abraham’s part led to God’s promise that all the nations of the world would be blessed through him.

In the Hebrew the word is Bara that is used to express this concept. What this word means is almost beyond the ability of man to comprehend. God called into existence all from nothing. Man can build and do with what already is, but from the nothingness did all things have their beginning.

Man has often tried to understand how God could accomplish this feat of creation. Through man’s own creativeness he has concocted several concepts as to how he thinks things began. All of these however leave out the most important part, and that is God. By fiat God made all that there is and did so in a moment in time. It is this concept that staggers the mind and the imagination of man as he has attempted to comprehend this elusive and baffling thought. Man in the last few years has originated a concept called the big bang theory.

For some this theory contains much of what they would have us believe, that in fact nothing got together at some unknown point with nothing and then exploded into everything in one or two brief moments in time. In actuality, they almost reached the right conclusion. But they are in error as they have left out the God part of the equation, and when you do that then your concept immediately breaks down as you lose the reason for the beginning and the why any of it would take place at all. When you leave out God there can never be a correct answer. You see the correct answer is that at some point in time, God in his infinite wisdom decided to call into existence every thing that is and he did so in the manner that we are examining here. Watch as this unfolds and understand more than any secular scientist will ever be able to conceive. Why God chose the process that he did eludes everyone unto this day and we only have the description of the when and not the how of the beginning shown in these pages.

Next in our journey we encounter the Hebrew word shamayim which means heaven. Like Elohim, shamayim is also a plural noun whose meaning is of more than one place. The possible multiple heavens have been an area of confusion for some but through out the whole of the Bible there have been numerous references to the three different heavens. Several men of God have reported being taken into the third heaven where they encountered God or one of his angels. The different heavens can be defined as the first heaven being the area immediately around and just above our heads, and also as the kingdom of Satan as he is the ruler of the kingdom of the air Ephes. 2:2 (KJV) Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 2 Cor. 4:4 (KJV) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The second heaven is the region of the stars. It reaches from the air part of the sky into the area that incorporates the regions of the stars. The outer reaches of this heaven are unknown to man. It reaches beyond our ability to see and it is that place that the scriptures call the second heaven. This is the place where God meets with His angels and with Satan as well. This second heaven is the place that Satan will be cast out of as described in the scriptures Zech. 3:1 (KJV) And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him, Job 1:6-7 (KJV) Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. [7] And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. Rev. 12:10 (KJV) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

The third heaven is that region of area that contains God’s throne and what we call the heaven of heavens. The exact location of the third heaven is of great and complicated debate. There are many diverse opinions with many sincere theologians diligently searching the scriptures attempting to answer this question. The word heaven used in the text here means the sky above our heads and the outer reaches of what we know as space. I will enter the edges of the debate by xplaining that I believe that the third heaven is not in space as we know it but in another dimension. A brief understanding as to what a dimension is. A dimension is an idea of potential existence of a change in the laws of physics that would allow for actions to occur that could not happen in our dimension but would allow certain actions to occur that would explain how certain things happened without breaking the laws of physics. No one can prove or disprove whether or not other dimensions even exist. But if it could be proven then many questions of the obvious breaking of the laws of physics that has long been the stumbling block for many intelligent minds that have had trouble in accepting some of what the Bible claims as unbelievable would be answered. Now I don’t make this assertion based on these problematic areas but on observations of the supernatural events throughout history. These supernatural events would easily be explainable if other dimensions were the area of God and his angels.

Along with these factors one can infer that the word heaven as used here is the Hebrew word shamayim. This adds more information as it refers to the various parts of the term that means (there) and (water) which in this more expansive application would better identify what was truly meant by its use in this place. If you apply the word in this manner you certainly would achieve a much broader and more accurate picture as too it’s intended meaning. In the way in which this word is used here it also refers to the eventual storehouse of the items such as the snow and hail that God will use for different purposes as time unfurls. In the scriptures we watch as God uses the elements themselves as weapons against His enemies and those of Israel.

There is another reason that I believe the meaning of this word carries more information than what we have explored at this point. The true and expansive context rest on understanding that this word and its full meaning matches up with other inclusive theories surrounding and explaining the process of creation.

In the last few years many have reached the conclusion that the element of water is intricately involved in what we know as creation. As I continue to study and see the continued expansion of my level of understanding I now know that the inferences to the water are even more significant than I thought because of the amount of water involved in the creation process. It seems that water is the primary building block used by God in the construction, of not only the earth, but quite possibly the whole of the universe. Space may be constructed in a manner so that water, in some form or other, will show up in ways that we do not yet comprehend. If these new and exciting ideas continue to expand a level of understanding may be reached that will make what we know of the creation process at this junction in history seem completely obsolete. The translation of words from one language to another always results in a loss of some degree of the original meanings but remains close enough to not be a factor in the overall understanding. So it is safe to say that this includes the whole of the sky and its contents. Later on we will see that the process of creating the stars is a separate event recorded.

Concluding our look at this first verse we reach the final word earth, which in the Hebrew is erets. As with the preceding words this one also has more than one meaning that can and is quite often applied. This word can refer to all land or to a specific portion of land. It is evident that here it refers to the broader scale in declaring the whole of the land. The sphere that we know as the earth containing the dry land had not been brought forward at this point in time. I find this very interesting. I stated earlier the importance of water to creation. It seems that water contained all the building blocks that were required to assemble the land, people, and animals, along with all the other aspects of this world both living and non living. Today we see the remains of these various processes in what might be refered to as left over materials. Or possibly these elements are additional materials stored for some yet unknown project God has in mind. If you look forward to some of the prophesies which indicate a quite extensive remodel planned for the earth’s future you would determine that God has already provide the necessary materials which will be needed as described in 2 Peter 3:10-11 (KJV) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. In reference to the entire content of this verse we see concepts displayed in which the framework of time, space, matter, and energy are reveled. Since we understand that before God there were none of these, then we understand that it is through and by him that all have their existence.

Within this framework we now declare that before time began was God and that without him nothing would or could exist. Even though there are an enormous number of debates surrounding the above claims this exposition is not the time or place in which to discuss them. I have stated my heartfelt belief in the validity of the scriptures so there is no need to include those debates in this work. But I would like to include a brief explanation for the extensive nature of my exposition on these matters. It is my belief that these foundational aspects are absolutely vital for the correct understanding of the entire Bible so I feel compelled to include as much information as needed to insure the correct understanding of all the complex issues involved in these pages.

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the waters.

From here on through out the first chapter of the book of Genesis each verse begins with the word and which in the Hebrew is the word waw. This word is a conjunction denoting continuing of action which is sequentially and chronologically connected to the verses before and after. This shows that the actions occurred in the order in which they are arranged and that there were no events occurring between. Not only does it show the order of events, but it also strongly indicates no significant time loss between them except that which is demonstrated within the text.

Here in this verse we encounter the meanings of two Hebrew words, tohu wavohu and tohu waw bohu. Of course there are more than one possible translation pertaining to these words. But if we do not force their meanings and apply them in a reasonable fashion then they simply mean to be unformed and uninhabited. This is the translation that best describes the original condition of the ball of water that was the earth at this time in the creation process.

Now darkness was upon the face of the deep and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. This is the first mention of the Spirit of God and is the first of many revelations pertaining to the makeup of the Godhead. The moving of the Spirit is best related as a fluttering or a somewhat rapid or even violent motion over the waters. The physics that were at work here are still unknown to man and the effects of what was happening are as of now not clear. But one thing is quite clear; we need not overlook the importance of the work of the Holy Spirit in the creation process. This act of rapid action indicates a level of activity that in and of itself would indicate that what was happening was essential in the creation. We can only speculate as to what the spirit was actually doing. Nowhere is the question of what the action of the Holy Spirit was, as far as I can tell, ever addressed in scripture. So we are left empty handed and with our assumptions as these details remain part of the mystery of God. The idea that God would at some point explain how certain things were done has puzzled some and quite honestly frustrated others, with myself falling into the first category. We must remember that God has even stated that it is His prerogative to hide certain things from us.But it is the delight of those who seek to understand and search out the things of God Proverbs 25:2-3 (KJV) It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. [3] The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.

Genesis 1:3 And God said let there be light: and there was light.

In the statements above we have more information regarding the events transpiring as the Spirit of God hovered and moved above the surface of the newly created ball of water that was the earth in its earliest form. I would suggest here that at this moment in time we are seeing the energizing of the electro magnetic forces which constitute the very energy source which brought about the next part of the creation. It did so by causing the elements contained in the water to begin to coalesce into the several elements necessary for the formation of the many different and varied portions of the creation. We understand in physics that these lines of electrical magnetic forces are the very fabric of space itself. These lines of force constitute what then would have been the first energizing forces that brought together the varied different elements to form the more complex compositions that make up creation as we recognize it today. In the next few pages we will encounter the Hebrew words ereb and boqer which now are recognized as being the words for morning and evening. It is our contention that in the original manuscripts their meanings were quite different, being the words meaning order and chaos. We believe that these words describe the work of the Holy Spirit as each day God brought more order out of the chaos which was the mass of elements contained in the original water structure. Each day through the process called creation He ordered these various elements into the proper structures so He could create. Our presentation of this concept is very simple and quite basic on numerous levels but we feel it adequately represents the fundamental assertion without delving into more detail than this format can support. It is my hope and desire that for those who seek a more detailed look at this subject that you would pursue your study using the available information through the many and varied outlets and sources which exist on the topic.

God is referred to later in scripture as light and because of this there have been questions as to how there could have been no light at this time. This requires one to look to their faith in the exixtence of God and understand that God’s light did exist then but the light called forth was to replace what He was providing through and by his prescence. The statement referred to the condition that would exist when he removed himself from the area. God’s purpose was not to be the light of the world, that distinction was reserved for another. John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Genesis 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Here we have the first moral judgment made in scripture as God calls the light good. The word good denotes a state of being good which reflects the result of certain choices thusly this conclusion must have rested on events not known to man or presented in this presentation of the creation. Jesus in the book of Matthew 19:17 Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: As we hear from Jesus himself in the text above we see the importance of understanding how only God deserves being called good. So then the presumption is that the light in question must have been a portion of the Godhead which is spoken of in many locations through out scripture. Jesus is the light which is called forth by the Father at this time. Here then is the first allusion to Jesus as the light of the world even in the creation process he is fulfilling that role. This moral judgment declares the precedent for all of creation, in that good and right, yet even righteousness are now and forever the hallmark of God. As day was to always represent the righteous, then there was no doubt that darkness and night were going to do essentially the same for wrong, evil, and sin. While darkness would be the cover in which evil would do its work then the daylight would shine on the good and expose the dark deeds done in the night. With this there is no doubt as to why there will be no night in the New Jerusalem Rev. 21:23-25 (KJV) And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. [24] And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. [25] And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And evening and the morning were the first day.

With this declaration the first day of creation was now complete, and where nothing had been before now stood a planet with light shinning on it. Again we encounter two Hebrew words that have more than one possible definition. The word ereb means dusk or evening and in Hebrew it designates the opening of the first day. Boqer is dawn, the time just before sunrise or the beginning of daylight. Now when you examine this a little closer something jumps out at you. With these parameters a day would only consist of the hours of darkness. For ages scholars have looked at this reaching numerous conclusions, as you would suspect. In recent years as more work has been done in the area of ancient Hebrew language study some interesting understandings have emerged. When you begin to examine the total concepts involved in the creation story a pattern begins to appear which establishes the order from chaos. In the ancient Hebrew it is quite possible that these words actually indicated the progression of order in the creation process. Quite simply, as each day began God in his creation began to bring more order to what had been chaos. It now seems that ereb might mean chaos, and boqer would mean order. In the study of physics we understand that the universe would have been left unstructured trending towards chaos.

It appears that God was building a multi-dimensional framework onto which he would place the building materials that make up our universe. In science an overriding principle, that until the recent hostility against the Christian message became so prevalent, was that it required intelligence to do a lot of what now some are trying to claim as chance. We see just how improbable these types of assumptions are.

The more we have truly learned the more we know without any doubt that the progress of living things requires information in order too effect the changes we see in almost all systems. Now this information always comes from an outside source which has to be intelligent, hence the creation required God. When we begin to examine the world of physics and the other areas of science that define the infinite complexities of the chance that would be required in the creation of this universe, the very concept of an accidental occurrence being the fountainhead of such an event just staggers the mind. It rapidly becomes impossible to truthfully conceive that. Well let’s just say that no reasonable person could be expected to believe it.

Since God established order from the original chaos which brought about the construction of the world, universe, and all that is, it would then only stand to reason that it would take God to prevent it from falling back into chaos. Colossians1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Hebrews 1:3 In him we live, and move, and have our being. In these scriptures we have assurance that Jesus is keeping all things from falling back into chaos. So far in this first day we have seen the beginnings of many of the foundational principals that exist still today.

Genesis.1:6 And God said, let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

Here is the beginnings of the more detailed processes that in time will delineate different surface areas of the earth. Water vapor now rises up to form a canopy which will provide a thermal blanket causing an even temperature from pole to pole. Some have suggested that such a blanket would block out the light but water vapor is invisible allowing the stars, the sun, and the moon to be seen. In recent years a great amount of research has been conducted into the benefits of a canopy over the earth. One of the discoveries that were made included the ability of the canopy to provide radio wave reception from the stars. The stars give off radio waves at different frequencies which when recorded are as some observers report a symphony of music, as it is said in this scripture that refers to the stars singing, Job 38:7, When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? These radio waves also appear to have several detectable affects on animals and some suggest on humans as well. Anyone that fishes or hunts knows that the animals work and move in cycles. These cycles are known to be arranged around the movements of the sun and moon. Now we are learning that the stars influence these movements as well. Doctors have long known that men have cycles that influence their health and that is why some doctors will only operate during certain cycles.

Astronomers have listened to the stars for years, gathering enormous amounts of data relating to their movements and cycles that are reflected in the sounds they emanate. In the chapter 38 of Job God states that the stars sang and the sons of God shouted for joy. In recent years scientist have reported picking up vibrations which were proven to be resonating from the beginning of time from unknown sources with the same patterns still detectable. Another quite notable effect of the water vapor shield would be the enormous reduction in harmful radiation. Without this water vapor shield we now suffer from this radiation. Radiation and its effects are the cause of many of the mutations that have resulted in a great number of deaths and deformities that plague mankind today. There are some geneticists who claim that if current levels of mutations continue the human race will become extinct within the next decade. Today some herald the alarm of the onset of the so-called greenhouse effect insisting that it will usher the end of life on this planet due to overheating. I am not overly worried about the lack of a canopy of water vapor being the cause of our demise. However, if we could form a vapor canopy as some suggest and it would function as well as the one in the beginning did, then I am sure that we would have nothing to fear from it being above our heads. Another benefit of the canopy was no rain and possibly not even clouds, as it is stated later in scripture that a mist performed the task of bringing moisture to the plants. And with a balanced temperature there would not have been wind or storms to cause the damage that we face today.

Genesis 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters, which were under the firmament from the waters, which were above the firmament: and it was so.

The Hebrew word for firmament is raqia, which means expanse or spread out thinness. This just might mean space as we understand it, which then describes the heavens above our heads up to and including the place where the stars would eventually be placed. Several heavens are referenced in the scriptures that specify a particular area of space. We find some of these references in Deuteronomy 26:15 and 1 Kings 8:30, and many others that define heaven as the place of the stars as well as describing the Heaven of heaven where God abides. This separation begins the process which will later provide the container, if you will, that will hold the atmosphere in place when the dry land appears. At this time these two areas of water are the water vapor, and the water that still holds the building blocks from which the land and everything else will be constructed. Our lack of ability to understand the process God used in the creation are a source of consternation for some while others continue to be inspired and and amazed at the awesome power of God.

Genesis 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Here again we see the Hebrew word waw which in English is the word and. The use of the word and shows a continuation of events in sequence and that shows that this was the process God used in continuing the creation. Again we see the affirmation of evening and morning with the Hebrew words ereb and boqer, which again leads us to believe that it is in referencing the process of instilling order in stages to the creation. Another concept to consider in this reference to the time in which things were done relates to a later statement of Jesus where he instructs us to labor during the day, John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. Of course this does not imply in any way that God was somehow limited to daytime labor, but again it is precedent setting taking place. The reasons why God chose to work only during the daytime which he had created still remains one of those issues that each of us must arrive at with our own understanding unless God specifies differently. I have reached my own conclusions as stated above. I believe that the reasons are for precedent so we can come to recognize that all our labour will be made manifest in the end by the Daystar himself, whether it be for good or for evil. One last aspect of this labouring during daytime only references the spiritual connotations of this statement. Daytime is that time when the Holy Spirit will still have His presence upon the earth before the time in which He is withdrawn and mankind is left to labour under the rule and oppressive power of Satan and his minions during the tribulation period which will no doubt be a time of night and spiritual darkness.

Genesis 1:9&10 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering of the waters called He Seas: and God saw that it was good.

So far all that we have dealt with has been water in its various forms. The elements that up to this time have been suspended in the water are now being brought together to form dry land. Consider that all elements were at some point simply chemicals in liquid form until energy of some kind was applied. This energy could have be in numerous manners including and not limited to heat, pressure, both, or quite simply the proper combinations of the various different blends of chemicals that up to now had been separated by the natural tendencies of the different elements to remain separated unless acted upon by an outside force. When we look at the makeup of our planet it consists of several layers. It starts at the core, which most scientist believe is a liquid core around what they think is a radioactive reactor providing enormous heat and energy containing many different kinds of radiation. It is this radiation that provides the required heat and pressure that causes the chemicals to react in the various manners to create the assortment of elements that is required to construct our world. When one stops to consider how the core alone must have been originated with its enormous complexities it is no wonder we wonder at the wonders of creation.

When you consider the state of things in the beginning there was no limit to the complications that God overcame in creating this world. From the elements that made up the original water came all rock, plant, and living things including us. In fact when chemists break down all things they eventually reach the level of a purely chemical basis where the similarities can be seen. But in the similarities also comes the differences. Life can not come of its self. Life requires an unknown agent that cannot be explained by combining the chemicals, as no manner of combinations will provide the spark that moves the inanimate to the animate.

With the gathering of the waters together into the seas and the bringing of the dry land up out of the water the completed shape is now coming into view. Here we see another moral declaration by God as He declares that the creation, up to this point, is good. This is the first of what will be a string of pronouncements where God declares that the labour has been completed in a manner of which He calls good. The dry land, which has now emerged, is called in the Hebrew eretz, which was the same term used before to refer to the whole of the creation. Now it specifies that which the dry land is. This word will be used in future scripture to describe certain areas upon which God has placed his claim. We are continuing to see the layering of the different materials as they are placed upon the framework that God originally laid down in the beginning as he builds this world and all that is in it.

Genesis 1:11-13 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Following the formation of the dry land God continues his progressive building program by adding plant life. So far each step of the way we have witnessed the progression of the process with each step growing more and more complex bringing more order to the earth. With the plant life we see that the creation consist of not seed or immature plants but full grown plants capable of producing fruit and seed to reproduce itself. Also within this process the concept of both seed and kind are established which will continue all the way through the creation. These barriers are constructed to prevent the crossbreeding of plants and as we will see later, animals as well. These principles and boundaries of seed and kind will continue to expand in value and our understanding as to the limitations within this framework will be clear. There was a myriad of variations within the seed and kinds to provide all the vast assortment of life we see on our planet today. It is through this system that we witness the different kinds of plants and animals that arose from just a few parent types in the beginning. One example is the rose, as today there are more types of roses than one can count. In the beginning there was only one but through variation came the many, as is with the other plants and animals.

An example in the animal kingdom is the dog which in the beginning was one pair of what was probably according to scientist a matting pair of wolves or wolf like animals. From this one pair we get the many varied species of today. What we do not see is a dog turning into a cat or some other species of animal. For when all is said and done the test revel that a dog is still in the dog family, not some new kind of animal.

Genesis 1:14-19 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Let there be light and there was light and up until now that light had been provided by a source not explained but of which many believe represents the glory of God who is the Lord Jesus. Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. John 1:1-10 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men. [5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. [6] There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. [7] The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light that all men through him might believe. [8] He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. [9] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. [10] He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. Now some want to challenge this premise but to me it is quite clear that God did light the earth before the sun, and I have no trouble believing that Jesus was that light.

Here we witness the creation of the sun, moon, and the vast universe. This universe contains billions and billions of galaxies that are full of stars, moons, and planets, not to mention numerous features that we do not understand. Yet the wording states, He made the stars also, indicating that it was no big deal. Now to us this was a tremendous event. It surpasses our understanding to such a level that we can not put into words the wonder of it all. God expresses the purposes of the lights. They are to determine the seasons. And they are for signs, to mark days, and keep years. They are to give light upon the earth and the two great lights are to rule over the day and the night, dividing the light from the darkness. Some of these indications are still somewhat vague, or to some degree contentious as to their meanings. We understand the apparent applications such as day and night and we have learned to observe the changes in the position of the sun and moon and we are able to discern the seasons. Some have used Astronomy and Astrology in our quest for understanding. Astronomy is the science of the study of the stars and their positions within the heavens along with the many facets in the universe. Astrology is the art, or as some would suggest, the dark science of applying the opinion that the positions of the stars somehow have an impact on how our lives are lived out.

Even before the flood there were symbols that represented the different areas of the heavens. Many have studied these symbols and claim to be able to forecast one’s fate by plotting certain dates pertaining to the individual. However, a group of devout men and women of God who have researched much of the same information have concluded that the arrangement of the stars in the heavens were arranged in such a manner as to tell the story of God’s relationship with mankind. This story includes His plan for the redemption of man back unto Himself after the fall and separation of man from our heavenly Father. This story is represented in picture form by the long known symbols observed within the stars along with the application of the names of the stars within the many groups. Among the numerous works pertaining to the subject of the signs in the stars there are two works worthy of our consideration. I strongly recommend these for those who are interested in this subject and want to learn more bout these starry pictures. These works are The Witness of the Stars by E.W. Bullinger and The Gospel in the Stars by Joseph Augustus Seiss. Both of these are excellent books that will greatly broaden your understanding of the lost applications concerning the handiwork of God. Following the stages of the creation as the wonders of the universe are laid out for us to see we find that in scripture it is said that God has stretched out the heavens, Isaiah 42:5 Thus saith God the Lord, he created the heavens, and stretched them out.

Again God proclaims that his creation up to this point is good. By this proclamation God has provided a moral judgment that does not include the death or decay that will pervade the creation after the fall. For those who believe the word of God to be inerrant and consistent with all the principals that are espoused throughout the Bible then a declaration of good here would in effect preclude any of the death and decay that now exist. This also precludes the theory of evolution. The idea of evolution contains years of death and decay that would be needed to bring about the changes that the concept proposes. With each step we see God continue to build layer upon layer of order onto the framework that he laid out on day one. This layering follows a logical progression of systems in which each is dependent upon the previously constructed one for their survival. Following this chain of thought then this proclamation of good may also include the approval of the process as well as the result.

Now as not to avoid some of the arguments that have arisen in regards to the great distances involved in the travel of starlight let us look at this issue. As stated before there are several places in which the scriptures refer to God having stretched out the heavens. With recent discoveries in quantum physics along with many new discoveries in the realm of astro physics and astronomy we are now finding that the heavens have indeed been stretched just
