About this ebook

Fall was coming to North America. It is tradition, and also so cold that butterflies can not survive the freezing temperatures and snow during the winter. To this day, butterflies migrate by the millions to the southern portion of the Unites States and Mexico. It is this journey then, which can be as far as 2,500 miles, that Vern and his parents, brothers and sisters enjoy and share with us. On with the story, come fly with us.....

Janette Bickford

Janette Olson Bickford grew up on a farm, going to school in a country schoolhouse. She was an only child the first twelve years of her life, so she had to entertain herself, and that form of entertainment was reading. Reading is still very important in her life, as in the ability to read well and the availability of books to read. Janette and her husband Arthur have six children. They have fifteen grandchildren, six girls and nine boys, from ages five to thirty-three. She has many hours of enjoyment reading to her children and grandchildren. When reading to a child, she frequently exchanges the child’s name in the book, to the name of the child she is reading too, and the children love it. Their retirement time is spent in two states to be near their children and grandchildren in California and Iowa, and they often visit their Texas son’s family.
