Acknowledgments
First, I give honor to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. When I look back over the years, it’s clear how God has ordered my steps. My Heavenly Father, I praise you!
I dedicate this book to my mother, Shirley Harris. Mom, I can’t thank you enough for believing in me. As a child, you told me I could accomplish anything in life. Mom, you were right. I love you so much.
To my brothers, James Tucker and Ernest White, and my sister, Pamela Tucker, I want to thank you for your support. There are so many other family and friends who never left my side when I encountered many roadblocks and setbacks while writing this book. To all of you, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

The couple knew raising the soon to be rebellious teenager would have its
