About this ebook

In a world fraught with evil, encroaching darkness, violence, strife, confusion, attacks on families, failing finances, and health, distractions and emotional instability, mans usual reaction is that of despondency and negative proclamations. In the beginning, when God saw the darkness that covered the face of the earth, He decreed what He wanted to see rather than agree with what He saw. Since we are made in His image, rather than confessing the problem (darkness) we are to confess the solution (the WORD) thereby transforming darkness to light.

(Rom 10:10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Believing and confessing are an important part of our Christian walk. What becomes manifest in our lives depends on our faith and confession. When our lips contradicts the word of God, we prevent His work in and through us, but when we get our hearts and lips in line with His word, He manifests His grace in us and His power flows through us.

Godfessions is the first of four compilations of inspired confessions of Gods promises. This book will help you cultivate an awareness of your spiritual blessings and the limitless power of God as well as enable you grow stronger in your faith, as you establish the truth of Gods word over you and your household through your declarations.

Introduction

Words have presence, power, and prophetic implication. Words have life. Jesus said in John 6:63, The words that I speak to you, they are spirit and they are life. Words are the only creative force of life. With words we create, re-create, change, prohibit, and allow things in our lives. This is the power of confession.

Words have no geographical limitations; they can penetrate anything and anywhere. A Roman centurion said to Jesus in Matthew 8:8, I am not worthy that thou should come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. He understood that God’s Word could be spoken anytime from anywhere and still produce result.

Confession means to repeatedly and continuously say a thing in order to achieve a desired end. Confession also means the affirmation of truth. Anyone can make a confession irrespective of age, gender, race, creed, or location—anyone who desires to repeatedly affirm a truth or a conviction toward a desired end.

There are many perceived truths in the world that people subscribe to and confess, but only the truth of God’s Word will make a man free indeed. So when we confess God’s Word, we set in motion the power of true freedom in our lives.

Words are more important than a lot of people realize. We must recognize the place that confession holds in the scheme of things. Jesus himself showed us the power of our words when he said in Matthew 17:20, Ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. The Message Bible says, There is nothing you wouldn’t be able to tackle. The Good News Bible says, You could do anything! Jesus is showing the importance of our words and that we have to speak in order for our faith to work. In the words of my father in the faith, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Words rule the world.

God wants us to get into agreement with Him. We are admonished in Hebrews 10:23, Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

This book contains 90 chapters of daily confessions of God’s Word and promises over your life. It is written in a simple format so you can read it out loud, meditate on it, and internalize it until it saturates your heart and leaves no room for doubt, unbelief, fear, or negativity.

To make the most out of these confessions, it is best to work on one section each day. You can read them early in the morning, at some time in the course of the day, or late at night. Each confession page is followed up with a collection of relevant Scriptures. Take time to read, visualize, and personalize them.

Another way to enrich your spiritual experience with these devotional prayers is to share them with friends, family, small groups, and cell units at church or colleagues at work. They will be grateful to you.

When you add God’s Word to your confession, you have a God’fession! That’s what this devotional is about.

1. God’s Abiding Presence

Today I speak over my life and my household that God’s abiding presence will be with me and make the difference in my life. God is with me; I will not fear. His presence is felt around me; I will not be dismayed. My eyes are on Him. I will not see shame. God is my keeper, God is my shield, God is my strength, and God is my help and helper. My hope is hinged on Him. He will not leave or forsake me. My tomorrow is better than my today, and my past is of no negative significance to my destiny. My sins are forgiven; my transgressions are blotted out. The blood speaks mercy on my behalf. I am established on the path of righteousness. Goodness, mercy, and favor accompany me in my walk. I prosper wherever I turn. I have fullness of joy, and I have pleasures of His presence forever. Grace delivers the influence of heaven to me. I am protected and assisted. I am comforted. I have the oil of ease; nothing is impossible for me. I hide in the cleft of the rock, no evil eyes shall see me, and no evil hands shall touch me. I am content with the joy of God’s presence. Things can only get better for me. God is for me, so nothing is against me. I have life abundant; I have life eternal. God loves me and honors me with the joy of His presence. I am fulfilled in Him. I am strengthened, and success is attracted to me. God is my resource. My faith is strong. I am a blessing to all I encounter. God loves me. I am blessed, in Jesus’s name.
