Tips for Teachers
• This book is designed to be used in the classroom for both native and ESL students for all age groups. Especially those who are beginners.
• Almost all phonetics are covered under fifty-six lessons with pronunciation keys, symbols, additional practices, and additional words for reading.
• An audiobook has been attached for each lesson in order to reduce teachers’ stress. Teachers can ask the students to repeat the lessons a couple of times by playing the audio. Each audio lesson is designed with explanation, reading with pause for students to follow.
• Teachers can use a simple textbook for reading after finishing the tenth lesson to help the students read more words. The more they read, the more they will improve.
• As usual there can be slow learners and fast learners in a classroom. It’s recommended to repeat some of the lessons a couple of times until they understand them well.
• Each language has its own sounds. When you teach the ESL students, ask them to write the proper sounds for the English letters. This may help them write their language words in English, and this way practically makes the students understand the sounds well. They will be able to write their own names and other names in English.
• English pronunciation differs country to country and dictionary to dictionary. When you teach them how to use a dictionary, ask them to read the pronunciation keys and symbols that are attached on the front of the dictionaries.
• Eyes and ears should recognize the letters and the sounds for the quick improvement. Have your students read and listen to the sounds often. Again, the more they read and listen, the faster the results.
• Before you move over to the next lesson, evaluate their reading comprehension. You can give them small evaluation tests. Classroom competition will also help students to work hard on their lessons.
• You can avoid some lessons if they seem to be difficult for the students, since this book has been designed for all age groups.
• You can have some reading tests and dictations on a random basis.
• There is a pause given for the students to repeat and answer in the audio lecture. A person teaches the lessons just like a teacher to create the classroom environment. Ask your students to follow the audio carefully.
Teacher’s Instructions
Before you start teaching, listen to the CD lessons and read the teacher’s instructions completely. All lessons are taught in the CD. Each lesson has voice one and voice two. First, play voice one and then give your students some time to practice. Then play voice two. You can also use these lessons to carry out your own way of teaching. Each lesson is designed to cover a forty-minute class. Use the CD lessons effectively for better results. The blanks in the lessons are given for the teacher’s convenience. You can have your students write the meaning, rewrite, or write the keys. It’s up to the teacher’s plan.
