About this ebook

In a time of transition, the Lord raises voices thjat can be heard with a different appreciation. And one of those voices is Pastor Torres, who with great clarity and with simple but profound language traces for us a spiritual route to be a Winner from Gods perspective; our apparent failures dont matter, nor is there interest in the thermometers the world uses to measure success. The message is: think like Christ, walk with Christ and live in Christ.
Pastor and Theologian
Eduardo Fuentes

In this book, my friend Pedro Torres delights us with the thought that in Gods economy to lose is to win. What a great paradox! The world would like to win, but God indicates in the Bible that if we want to win, first we must lose. In other words, the true winner is the person who becomes a loser. I believe that every reader must read, memorize and share the concept of this book.

Definitely, to Jesus my teacher of excellence, The Lord of my life, the King of my heart. I love Him, serve Him and adore Him, because there is no other like Him.

To my precious and valuable wife Mitzi. To my Mother Julia, and Bryann. To Genoveva, my other mom and to Jipatia my other sister.

To the best congregation in the world: Tabernaculo de Vida Metroplex. I admire your patience towards me. I don’t understand how you all still want for this servant to continue being your pastor. But while we’re trying to figure that out, we will continue making history.

I have a group of friends that are incredible and in the midst of them are several men of God: Eduardo Fuentes Melo, whose clear wisdom and sharp theological sense has forged strong principles in my life. To Loami Diaz, that without his contribution this book would be incomplete.

Thank you to all the pastors who have been a powerful influence in my life:

    Apostle Manuel Mosquera

    Bishop Octavio Valencia

    Bishop James Kilgore

    Ph.D Daniel Gordon

My list of incredible friends is as follows: Alex Maca and Daniel Morales. You have designing in your DNA! My brother-friend of my entire life: Rubiel. For the rest of the world you’ll be the doctor, but for me you will be my soul brother.

    EDUARDO FUENTES

My friend, for more than 20 years, and a great leader, invites us through this book to go farther than our traditional way of thinking, to walk, run and fly upon the wings of the Spirit of God and to live a Christianity from a different point of view, which is far from the wasting evangelical formulas which produce anemic and inactive believers.

In a time of transition, the Lord raises voices that can be heard with a different appreciation. And one of those voices is Pastor Torres, who with great clarity and with simple but profound language traces for us a spiritual route to be a Winner from God’s perspective; our apparent failures don’t matter, nor is there interest in the thermometers the world uses to measure success. The message is: think like Christ, walk with Christ and live in Christ.

The book: From God’s Perspective…I want to be a loser, is a result of:

    1. God’s dealings with a pastor who is sincerely compromised in preaching and teaching those who are the new vessels to receive the new wine, which gives meaning to our Christian life.

    2. The study and discernment of a man of God, who doesn’t rest until he sees the changes that the Spirit will do in this new generation of believers.

    3. The passion and fervor of a leader who proclaims with love, from the Scriptures, the dynamics to submerge in the spiritual water to impact this materialistic and agnostic world.

It’s a privilege to recommend the reading of this book, which without a doubt will become a channel of blessing for all of those who read it, logically, from God’s perspective.

    LOAMMI DÍAZ

My first memory of Pedro Torres is when I heard him teach on the book of Revelation in the adult class at Tabernaculo de Vida in Houston, TX. I remember that I was around 13 years old and I was perplexed of hearing so much Biblical knowledge coming out of this human being.

Two decades have passed since that first encounter and I’m still perplexed when I listen to his teachings. For reasons that are unknown, I thought that this book wouldn’t have the same impact than to listen to his ministry live but let me assure you that this book will not disappoint you.

In this book, my friend Pedro Torres delights us with the thought that in God’s economy to lose is to win. What a great paradox! The world would like to win, but God indicates in the Bible that if we want to win, first we must lose. In other words, the true winner is the person who becomes a loser. I believe that every reader must read, memorize and share the concept of this book in order to deal with the problems of these two specific groups: 1. Young people 2. Unbelievers

The first group, young people, tends to lose trust and security in their lifestyle when they’re called losers due to their Christian beliefs. This book will help them gain back their trust when they’re reminded that God’s opinion counts not the worlds.

The second group, unbelievers, needs to hear this message of denial; the concept that God is one with extensive gifts. Jesus said, For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.

Finally, I ask God to help you better understand the concepts of this book so that with great confidence we can announce to our cities that yes, we’re losers, but we’re not lost. God bless you and enjoy the book.

I still haven’t had the privilege of personally meeting him, but when the history of this contemporary decade is written, and when the list of men and women who have impacted this planet is elaborated, someone must include in the first few names the name and story of the Australian Nick Vujicic. What is so special about Nick Vujicic? This young man is the type of person that God
