In this volume, Peanuts adventures begin when he meets his Halloween playmate. Then Peanut celebrates Chanukah, Christmas, and New Years Eve. Peanut also visits the circus and enjoys a tea party. Peanut will explore the local volunteer fire station, celebrate his first birthday, and meets Doctor Callan when he has his first visit to the veterinarian.

Dr. Talbot received her PhD in philosophy and her master’s degree in sociology. She is an animal lover. All the pictures in her books are of her pet Sugar Gliders, that were hand raised. Peanut’s New Halloween Playmate
It was early October and leaves covered the ground. They were red, orange, and yellow. They made the ground look very colorful. Barbara’s father suggested that she get a few lawn bags and he would get a rake and together they would bag up all of the leaves.
Barbara said, Great!
She was excited because her father had bought four big, orange, lawn bags earlier that week and together they had cut out pumpkin eyes and pumpkin mouths to glue onto the bags after they were filled with leaves. Barbara put Peanut’s cage by the window so he could watch them make the pumpkins from a safe place. As they were raking up the leaves, Barbara said, Father, do you hear that sound?
Yes I do, Barbara. Where do you think it’s coming from?
Barbara said, I think it’s a whimpering sound coming from behind the tree.
Barbara looked behind the tree and to her surprise, there was a little puppy. He was very small and he had big, pointy ears and a curly tail. Barbara’s father said, He looks like a Chihuahua.
Barbara picked up the puppy and they took him into the house and gave him some water and food. The puppy drank the water
