TRUE TESTIMONY ABOUT THE AUTHOR’S LIFE: RESCUE FROM THE SUN BY THE SON
I was about six years old and was very sick with a terminal illness. My mother was the one taking care of us at the time because my dad had gone to the big city to look for a job. We were living in a bungalow in my grandfather’s house. My grandfather was the patriarch in the family and everybody listens or obeys his authority. My sickness had already claimed some lives in the city therefore many people including my grandfather already gave up on me. The only person that kept hope alive was my mother. Thank God for godly mothers.
One day, my sickness was so critical that my grandfather felt it was all over for me. He came into my mother’s room where I was laid on a bed and picked me up. He carried me outside under the scotching heat of the sun. He laid me on a mart under the hot sun with a temperature of over 100 degree. My grandfather was hoping that the heat of the sun would quicken my death so that he could have a reason to bury me. But my mother went and stood by my side under the sun with tears rolling down her eyes as she prayed and looked to heaven for God to heal her little boy. Several times my grandfather drove my mother away from me as she refused to let me stay under the sun alone. She said since my grandfather would not allow her to remove me from under the scotching sun, she would stay there under the sun with her sick boy. It was a mouse and cat game going on between my grandfather and my mother. Every time my grandfather came out to drive her away, and to check if I was dead, my mom will run inside, but once grandfather goes inside, she would come out to resume her vigil. The whole day went by and as the sun set, I was still breathing because God kept me alive. My grandfather was shocked to see that I was still alive, and he could not bury me alive so he allowed my mother to bring me inside the house. What my grandfather did not know was that God has already sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for my sins and sickness 2000 years ago. While my grandfather was looking to the Sun to kill me, my mother was looking to the Son to heal me. The Son of God saw my mother’s faith and heard her prayers. He healed me and saved me from the jaw of death. My grandfather died 40 years ago, but before he died, he knew God was real. I became his favorite grandson, and always wanted me around him even at his death bed. This same Jesus who rescued me from the jaw of death and healed me is here to heal you and restore health to you. May be the doctor has given up on you and told your family to get ready for your funeral, but God has the final say over your life. Your life is not yet over until God says so. Please know that the life you have today is from God and not from any man. God will not let your life be cut short. He said with long life will He satisfy you (Psalm 91:16). You are God’s chosen vessel to carry the message of the gospel to the nations of the world. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (Ephesians 6:10) God will never fail you nor forsake you because you are the apple of his eyes, and your name is engrafted in the palm of his Hand. You shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord, Psalm 118:17. Get ready your best is yet to come in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
INTRODUCTION
John 21:1-21
After Jesus was crucified and all his disciples had fled for their lives, Peter who denied Jesus three times decided to go back to fishing. The other disciples decided they might as well follow Peter since he was their leader. The bible said these professional fishermen fished all night and caught nothing (v.3). They had labored all night with nothing to show at day break. It was a fruitless night of labor. They could not even catch a single fish. Peter went back to fishing, why? I believe Peter was still in a state of discouragement and depression from his denial of Jesus. He was probably trying to find some comfort or solace by going to the place Jesus met him once, and doing that which was familiar to him, which was fishing. I don’t think Peter was really looking for fish as much as he was looking for healing. We sometimes go back to the familiar things that might give us some comfort when we are depressed or discouraged even if it means going backwards. We tend to go to the wrong places seeking for healing or answer to take care of our problems and pains. The disciples came up with empty net every time they threw the net inside the river hoping to catch some fish. All night long they cast their nets without any success. That is what happens to us when we go off on our own without seeking God’s guidance, or his direction concerning God’s will for our lives. The disciples had been disconnected from Jesus, now they were doing things by their own power and leaning on their own understanding. They had stopped praying, fasting and perhaps forgotten all the words and promises of Jesus. Anytime our communion and communication with the Lord is disconnected, we go into a self—efforts mode. We try to do things by our own power, and rely on our reasoning rather than on the Lord and His word.
Jesus shows up in the Morning:
As the day breaks, Jesus shows up by the riverside and asked them a simple question Children have you any meat
? Another way to say it is, Children have your own self efforts produce any result or fish? The answer of course is No meat.
Jesus commanded them to cast the net on the right side. When they obeyed the word they had a great catch. It was then that John realizes that it was Jesus and said to Peter it is the Lord. Jesus had already prepared breakfast for them that morning before they got off the boat. He wanted to reconnect the broken communication and communion with His disciples. I believe that is God’s desire for His children. God wants to restore broken communion and broken relationships with you. Jesus and the Holy Spirit want to sit with all of us at a breakfast table the Lord has already prepared for us. He invites you to come to the breakfast table every morning for a wonderful time of fellowship and communion. Good morning Jesus and the Holy Spirit is more than a devotional book, it is to inspire us every day to set a special time to seat and to feed on the words of Jesus as we allow the Holy Spirit to reconnect our hearts with the heart of God. Jesus wants to remind us that apart from him we can do nothing John 15:7. Jesus wants to remind us that without him we would be laboring on the wrong side without any fruit to show for our labor. We need Jesus and his word to get on the right side and stop toiling and laboring in vain. (John 21:6). This year you shall not labor or toil in vain in the name of Jesus. The Holy Spirit shall fill you with a fresh hunger for the word of the Lord in Jesus name. Your Strength shall be renewed daily in His Presence and your fruit shall be bountiful to the glory and honor of God in Jesus precious name. Amen!
As you use this devotional book, let the Holy Spirit minister to you; be open to receive and to hear from Him. Let there be a daily transformation in your life, and expect to grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ from Glory to Glory.
A section is provided daily where you can write any personal inspiration you receive from the Holy Spirit. It is my prayer that your daily devotion and fellowship with the Holy Spirit will bless you richly.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending
Revelation 1:8
Jesus
I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,
says the Lord God.
I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come, the Almighty One." Revelation 1:8 NLT
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word is Jesus Christ who became flesh. Your salvation begins and ends with Jesus. Don’t trade Jesus and your salvation for anything else in the world. Your day should begin and end with Jesus. Start today and the year with Jesus for he is the beginning and ending of all things. He is the author and the finisher of your faith. Only Jesus Christ can take care of your past, your present, and your future. Jesus is coming back one day for his bride—the Church. Let the Word of Christ richly dwell in you and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you daily through out this year. You are blessed!

Jesus wants us to look to Him for a fresh daily bread from the Bible. God’s word is our spiritual food required for our spiritual exploit. Just as you need physical food daily for your body, so do you need spiritual food daily for your spirit man which is the Word of God! The word of God is your daily manna from heaven (Exodus 16:4). It is the Spirit who gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life
John 6:63 NLT
The Spirit gives life, but the flesh kills life or as Jesus said profits nothing. It is wise to invest your time and energy in that which gives life rather than that which profits you nothing. Will you invest in a business that you know will not give you profit? Can a farmer plant seeds in a field that cannot produce crops? Jesus wants you to connect to his life-giving word today, and the Spirit of God shall restore life, strength, healing and blessing to every area of your life. If anyone hears me and doesn’t obey me, I am not his judge—for I have come to save the world and not to judge it. But all who reject me and my message will be judged at the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken
. John 12:47-48 NLT
Jesus said that judgment awaits anyone who rejects His word. The question is not if but when. The time will surely come when God will ask us to give account of the word we receive from Christ. Are you living and obeying the word of Christ? Do you measure your standard of living and your quality of life by the word of Christ? Matthew 7:24
Jesus
Anyone who listens to my teaching and obeys me is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock
Matthew 7:24 NLT
Jesus expects us not just to hear his words but to do them. He said when we obey his word we are building our lives on a solid rock. No builder ever wants to build a house on a sandy foundation. Jesus says that is exactly what we are doing when we do not apply his words to our Christian lives. We are building our spirituality on a shaking foundation without the solid word of God to hold us up. Let us begin to change that today by obeying and doing the word of Christ as revealed to us by the Holy Spirit. Through wisdom a house is built. Proverbs 24:3.

John 17:14 NLT
We see Jesus praying to His father, and telling Him that he has done his part by given the word of the father to the World. However the world hated or rejected the word of God because the word is not of this world.
There are many people in the world today that still reject the word of Christ because the enemy has blinded their minds and corrupted their hearts. Yet everything they are looking for in the world, including a prosperous and successful life are in the word of God (Joshua 1:8). Ask the Holy Spirit to open your heart to receive God’s word today.

God reveals His truth in stages as you walk with Christ and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6). Therefore, you get to know more about Jesus as you live and obey His word under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Yes, I realize that you are descendants of Abraham. And yet some of you are trying to kill me because my message does not find a place in your hearts
John 8:37 NLT
Jesus said that the Pharisees who claimed to be Abraham’s seed seek to kill Him because they did not believe the word of Christ.
Jesus reveals the true nature of these men. They were religious on the outside, but inside of them they were empty of the word of God.
When the word of God does not find a place in our hearts, we are inclined to do evil or fall into sin. The word of Christ keeps us from doing evil. Thy word I have hidden in my heart that I may not sin against you (Psalm 119:11). Make every effort not to go against God’s word or reject it. Ask the Holy Spirit to plant His word in your heart today.
