Acknowledgments.
I wish to acknowledge the following people for helping out in this book.
I am grateful to God Almighty, for His special grace, different gifts, and abundant blessings. Without God, I would not be able to be an author of Christian books. I appreciate the greatest teacher, Holy Spirit for His directions and inspiration.
I thank my dear husband, for actualizing my dream by supporting me in every possible way. You have been with me through thick and thin, and you are simply one in a billion.
I also thank these brothers for their contributions and suggestions that were very helpful: Charles Okere, Vincent Ngalamonwu, Simon Francis.
I am grateful to my sisters, Chinyelu Obianuju Ogwueleka and Ifeoma Nwamaka Ogwueleka for their vital corrections and propositions.
I also thank all those who have encouraged my write-ups through calls, messages, and emails. Your encouragement makes me to keep writing.
God bless you all.
Preface.
Grace is the special favour and blessings we get from God because of his special love for us. Grace is also divine unmerited favour from God. Romans 12:6 explain that the gifts of God come through God’s grace by saying We have different gifts according to the grace given us…
Every gift comes through the grace of God. God’s grace brings abundant blessings such as good health, longevity, children, spouse, wealth, creativity of all kinds, nice voice, etc. Grace brought us salvation – Eph 2:5. The grace of God that brought salvation teaches us to live an upright life and life worthy of emulation. We do not get children or spouse because we live good life, we do not get wealth out of hard work, we are not creative because we are extremely intelligent, all these come to us not because we are worthy but because of God’s grace upon us. The grace of God gives joy, pleasure, delight, loving-kindness, good will, and all the good things of life. Paul expressed gratitude because the grace of God appointed him to His service despite the fact that he was a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a violent man – 1 Tim 1: 12-14. The grace of God makes us show gratitude for God’s mercy and blessings. The grace of God teaches us to live a holy life – Tit 2: 11-13. It is only by the grace of God that we can live a holy life. The grace of God also helps us to forgive those that offend us. According to Dr. David Jeremiah – an evangelist, Grace gives us what we do not deserve
. We do not get the grace of God because we are worthy, faithful, or good, but because we are His children and He cares for us. The grace of God abides in His people.
Different dictionary defines grace in different ways, which are as follows:
• Divine assistance given to human unmerited for regeneration or sanctification.
• Virtue that comes from God.
• A state of sanctification enjoyed through divine grace.
• Favour, approval, mercy, pardon, privilege.
• A charming or attractive trait or characteristic.
• Honour or dignity of somebody.
According to Prov 3:34, He mocks the proud mockers but gives grace to his people
. James 4:6 also said But he gives more grace. That is why scripture says:
God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." These two quotations are telling us that humility attracts the grace of God. If you do not abide in the ways of God, his grace will be far from you. The grace of God can come through prayer, obedience to the word of God, and meditation on the scripture. God expects us to use every grace that we get from Him – 2 Cor 6:1.
Grace in pain explains God’s ways of bringing grace into our life through the pain that we go through. Someone asked me why children of God always suffer. I told him that what Christians go through is a way of preparing them for God’s grace that endures forever. What are you passing through as a Christian? What pain are you enduring? Is it late marriage, childlessness, work pressure and demand, unemployment, heartbreak, constant betrayal, false allegation, maltreatment, financial stress, break-ups, marriage stress, depression, sickness of all sorts, name it? It will never last forever. The Lord will surely bless you with His grace that endures forever. There is a reason for every pain. Put your pain in prayer and bear it with the love of God. For every pain a child of God goes through, it brings an indelible grace. This book explains how grace comes through pain. Cross brings crown. The tears of persecution people of God shed while working in His vineyard brings sainthood. A slave can turn to become a king/queen. A kingdom in captivity can be set free. Suffering ends with success. Someone’s sorrow can turn to joy. A victim can gain victory. God renews the strength of those who wait on him. There is gain and grace in pain. God can lift someone from nowhere to somewhere after enduring pain with faith in Him. The stress you are passing through now may be a test that will turn to testimony. The mistake you have made and you are regretting may turn to miracle if you believe. Your condition will always change after bearing pain if you believe in God. There is a reason for every pain one passes through. Pray and look deep, you will see reasons to thank God for every pain in life. It is not easy to endure pain especially for a long time but faith can do all that. God also gives us grace to bear every pain that comes to us.
God does not give us cross that is greater than we are. 2Cor12: 9, … My grace is sufficient for you, for your power is made perfect in weakness…
. We are greater than any burden that comes our way because the grace of God is enough for us to handle them. God makes His power perfect through weakness (all sorts of pain). God allows his children to go through pain, so that at last his name will be gloried. This book encourages endurance of pain through the power of God that gives grace. We can endure any pain that comes our way through the grace of God. From my own personal experience, whenever I go through pain, God’s grace showers later. Every great man attained greatness through pain. May all our pain bring us grace to the glory of God. Amen.

Cross to Crown.
(Our Saviour Jesus Christ.)

Jesus our Saviour is one of the Holy Trinity. He was born to save the world. He suffered humiliation, pain, betrayal, and finally died to save humanity.
Mt 26: 67 tells us that Jesus’ persecutors spat on his face, struck His feet, slapped, and mocked Him. Mk 15:3 said that the persecutors of Jesus accused Him of so many things. He was condemned to die by crucifixion by the people in Mk
