About this ebook

When I decided to write this book it was because I really wanted to share this experience I wanted to provide some insight and comfort to others.

It is a book about the utter devastation that is suicide, it is a journey from day one, the beginning of this process plagued by self doubt, questioning your mental stability, seeking relief, deliverance from intense pain and sorrow, repentance and regret. All these days are relevant to where you are in the present, in my case six years later.

There is hope for those left behind to deal with this life in the absence of the one you love.

The human spirit is truly amazing, your life will go on. however you will not remain the same.

Julie A Chase

Born and grew up in great britain, I was fortunate to have the most magnificent childhood, I grew up living at the seaside and roaming the fields and church yards in a small county town where my imagination and enthusiasm would run wild and unhampered. I was a bohemiun child,, unconventianal animal lover that had a passion for art, and had a strong desire to travel. After years of marvellous and somewhat peculiar experiences, meeting all sorts of very interesting and rather astonishing individuals in various foreign countries! I decided that it was high time to get back to America where i met Mike,. we married and made a home. It was the happiest and most stable time of my life. I do feel blessed to have lived such a colourful life, to have such a wonderful family that encourage me to continue to strive, and an abundance of brilliantly smashing good friends.

    Acknowledgments

This book was written because of an experience that evoked a great sadness in my life. It is due to this event that I became aware of the extent of love, loyalty and endless support that are my friends and family.

I am so thankful for my most remarkable and dearest friend Mary-Beth Killen for her unwavering love and encouragement every single day.

I am most grateful to Allen Chase for his understanding and support of myself and Adam.

To my sister Debbie Jull for her strength and wisdom.

To Robin Jull a man of great integrity thank you for coming when I most needed you.

To my wonderful mother for her amazing disposition, for restoring my courage and for making me walk.

To my Daddy for believing in me always.

My beloved children, Christopher Salinas, Benjamin Salinas and Adam Salinas-Chase.

I am so proud of you all, and it is an honor to be your Mom.

    Julie.

When I look back at my childhood it seemed to be filled with endless possibilities. I grew up in a small harbor town located in the south of England. Many of my days were spent simply being a kid, playing along the sea shores, in the wide open fields, and churchyards of England, without a care in the world.

My home town was considered to be an ideal location for holiday makers, which meant that by mid May hoards of folk, mostly Londoners would arrive with their caravans in tow. The beaches were filled up with deck chairs and wind breakers and people. I didn’t mind, I found them charming, I was fascinated by their bright clothes and burlesque language.

On school days I would walk home to my Nan’s house, where she had a moist sponge cake filled with sticky jam ready and waiting for me. In summer months I sat in her splendid English garden, it was completely full to the brim with flowers. Hollyhocks, lilacs, roses, pinks, lavender, peony’s and magnolia to name a few. Even as a child I knew that this was perfect and lovely.
