CHAPTER 1

Our Tithes

THE LORD HAS IMPRESSED me to write you about one teaching which has been a sore spot in the church for a very long time—your tithes and offerings. When it comes to money, it becomes very personal and difficult to get the church body to tithe. Did you know it is a proven fact; only one-tenth of any given church congregation will tithe faithfully?

Frankly, with the teachings on our tithes and offerings, I can see why. It used to bother me to give away money I thought (and felt as if) I would never see again. When I paid my bills, at least I received a service for the money spent. But when it came to the church, it appeared as if it was only the ministries who were receiving the blessings being promised.

Before we go on, let’s go over some of the scriptures which tell us to tithe. Then we will review the reasons why we are to give to God the first ten percent of our income. This means, we are to give to our church, to the poor, or to a ministry (as God directs us) one-tenth of our income. God and Jesus do require us to tithe, but most people have no idea as to why. Thus, we will tackle these reasons in this chapter. We will start with the scriptures which tell us to tithe.

Adam taught Cain and Able to bring a tithe offering to God during the time they lived on the outside of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 4:1-5). In Genesis 14:18-20, Abram tithed to Melchizedek (king of Salem). Both of these tithings were required BEFORE the Mosaic Law ever went into effect! Again, Jacob tithed to God, on all he had, before the terms of the Mosaic Law were ever set in place (Genesis 28:22). This fact means: tithing is NOT just part of the Mosaic Law. It is required throughout scripture because God and Jesus want our hearts to be towards Them (Jeremiah 7:21-23 & Matthew 6:19-21). Jesus’ words are NOT suggestions. They are COMMANDMENTS. This fact means, Jesus doesn’t suggest, but commands us to tithe to God (Matthew 6:19-20 & 22:21).

"They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s: and unto God the things that are God’s."

Matthew 22:21

The tithe belongs’ to God (Leviticus 27:30 & Malachi 3:8-10).

"And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S: it is holy unto the LORD."

Leviticus 27:30

Therefore, as according to Jesus’ commandment in Matthew 6:19-20 & 22:21, we are to render our tithe unto God. We also know that the Israelites were required to tithe in Leviticus 27:30.

Ecclesiastes Ch. 11 tells us to sow as well. This chapter explains to us; if we refuse to sow into God’s Kingdom then there will be no way we can prosper. The evil is in this world (Ecclesiastes 11:1-2). Therefore, this evil can, and does eat the Christian’s money which they received from the world. The only way we will not lose our income, is by sowing into God’s Kingdom (Matthew 6:19-20).

We are told in Malachi 3:8-9 if we withhold the tithe by using God’s money for our own benefits, then we are robbing God because the tithe and offerings belong to Him. Thus, when we withhold the tithe and use it for our own benefits, we will lose our profits in other ways. Things will end up taking our money in ways we do not foresee. (Such as, you will need repairs on the dishwasher, or on the washing machine, or on the dryer when you are not expecting it to go out). (Or you get an unexpected bill, such as, your phone bill will end up being bigger then you anticipated). And I could go on and on. But I don’t want to.

Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

Malachi 3:8-9

Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages, earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

Haggai 1:6

To gain an understanding of Haggai 1:6 read Chapter 1 of Haggai in its entirety. It will tell you, because you are not considering God’s house, you have been cursed with a curse you cannot control. Therefore, things will go wrong and eat your income. This is NOT just for the Israelites. Doesn’t Jesus tell you in Matthew 6:19, moth and rust will corrupt your money? And thieves can and do break into your homes and steal your prosperity. These are the things which go wrong with the things you own. My family and I do tithe faithfully and are following Jesus’ instructions as we learn them, so we are not cursed with these curses!

Our Lord gives us the answer as to why we are required to tithe. First and foremost, He tells us in Matthew 6:19-20, we are to sow into God’s Kingdom (in other words, we are to tithe at least 10% of our money back to God). As a result, we will have a bank account in heaven. Whereby, God can prosper us. You cannot receive interest on money which isn’t in your heavenly bank account. Secondly, He tells us to tithe so our hearts will be drawn towards heaven (Matthew 6:21). And the third, but not final reason, we are to tithe so we will not stand before God empty-handed. We are not allowed to stand before the kings and queens of this earth without a gift (I Kings 10:1-2 & Matthew 2:11); so why would we disrespect God so much as to stand before Him empty-handed (I Kings 10:1-2; Luke 7:1-5 & Acts 10:1-4)?

Very few people understand why God and Jesus do require us to tithe our money into Their Kingdom. Therefore, we will tackle this purpose now.

This is the way it works. You are told by Jesus in Matthew 6:19-20 to lay up your treasure in heaven and not as much on this earth. In other words, you are to open up a bank account in heaven just as you do on this earth. You open it up by giving your tithe to God in the way He impresses you to give it to Him. Most people are impressed to give to a ministry.

Once you have obeyed Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:19-20, the money you have sown into your account is just sitting there waiting on you. However, it cannot be drawn upon until you complete the requirements it takes to make the account active. If you refuse to sow, then there isn’t any money in your account to withdraw when you are desperate. This is why you are told by Jesus to put at least 10% of your money into your heavenly account.

This fact is important to know; the money you use to open your account and the money you deposit into your heavenly account will never be touched by thieves, rust, or moths. In other words, when you put your money in your bank account, this money is yours and it is just as valuable as the day you deposited it (Matthew 6:20). But again, you are not allowed to draw on your financial credit until you perform the requirements it takes to activate your account. (This will be reemphasized in Amos 5:11; Zephaniah 1:12-13; Deuteronomy 28:38-40; Joel 2:25-26 & Isaiah 65:21-22 later on in this chapter).

If you refuse to obey Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:19-20 by refusing to tithe any of your money into God’s Kingdom, then there is no way you can receive anything from God or His Kingdom. This is true because of the natural law that was set into place when this world was created, and the same law exists to this very day. You do NOT receive anything unless you sow first.

The natural laws are different from the Mosaic Law. The natural laws govern our lives whether we want them to or not. For example, the law of gravity causes things to fall to the ground because it is a natural law which governs the world. In like manner, the natural law of sowing and reaping governs our lives whether we want it to or not. For example, you must sow into your employment by giving them your talents of doing the work, BEFORE you are allowed to receive a paycheck. If you do not believe me, go to work and ask your boss if he would be willing to give you one week’s pay without you working for it, or earning a vacation. What do you think his answer would be?

Sure, John or Jane, I don’t think you’re crazy, and I’ll give you the money right away. What is the actual chance of this happening? You are required to sow your time, talents, expertise, and your blood, sweat and tears into your job before you are permitted to receive any money for your services. Many times, the pressure is on to give the company 110% of yourself before you are able to receive what you are worth.

This is why it is so hard to tithe. You have worked hard to receive what little you get in a paycheck. Thus, after you have paid your bills and taken care of your family, there is just something on the inside of you which says, If there is anything left, I would sure like to save it for me. Yet there are times when you feel guilty and selfish for thinking this way, so every once in a while you drop some money in the offering bucket. But, again I know where you are coming from.

For a long time I have been upset with seeing the ministry people being the ones who get to help the hurting people in other countries, while I am sitting back and watching them do this act on television. I want to be a part of the fun. I also want to be able to help others personally from my heart. Oh, you can go if you come up with an extra $2,000 or $3,000, which is the requirement to pay your own way. How fair is that? The minister is going across seas on my money; and if I want to go, I must somehow come up with the additional funds to pay my own way. Needless to say, I have never made a mission trip.

The scriptures write about this situation. It says in Amos 5:11 & Zephaniah 1:12-13 God’s people will go through a time when their goods shall become booty; and their houses a desolation; they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof. This means people will tithe their money and because of wrong teachings, they will not receive any benefits from their tithes (Deuteronomy 28:38-40; Haggai 1:3-11; Malachi 3:8-10 & Matthew 6:19-20).

According to these verses, the curses which are in the world have cursed our tithes and caused them to become unbeneficial for us personally. If you haven’t caught the revelation: this is depositing our money into our heavenly bank account and not being able to draw from it as yet (Deuteronomy 28:38-40; Amos 5:11 & Zephaniah 1:12-13).

In other words, the ministries are getting the benefits of our tithes and offerings and we are NOT receiving any blessings from the tithe. This is because we are not doing the things which allow us to withdraw from our bank account as yet. This is Deuteronomy 28:28-40; Amos 5:11; Zephaniah 1:12-13; Haggai 1:3-11 & Matthew 6:19 taking place in our lives. This is why we cannot activate our heavenly bank account. The ministries are getting the benefits from our physical money. But the blessings (success, prosperity) we are looking to receive from our giving are still sitting in our heavenly account. And it will not be allowed to be activated until we complete the requirements that it takes to open up our accounts and draw from them.

But, Joel tells us there will come a time when God will restore back to us what has been taken. And if we will listen to God and Jesus and do as They instruct us, every penny we have given in God’s name will be returned to us with interest.

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Joel 2:25-26

Isaiah 65:21-22 tells us there will come a time when God’s people will live in the houses they have built. And they will eat and drink from the gardens and vineyards they have planted. One of the wonderful things about giving our money into God’s world is that we never lose what we have given if we follow Jesus’ Words and do them (Deuteronomy 28:1-15; Matthew 7:24-27 & Luke 6:46-49).

Whether the curses have eaten the benefits from our tithe or we have just plain lost our money by helping the people with wrong motives; the money we have spent for God’s Kingdom is STILL in our account, in heaven (Matthew 6:20). No matter how many years go by, the value of our currency is still the same as when we put it in our heavenly account. This is what Jesus meant when He told us no corruption would attack the treasure in heaven.

This means one day we will get a return on our giving and the benefits will be ours, not someone else’s, which is what Joel 2:25-26 & Isaiah 65:21-22 are saying.

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Matthew 6:20

You see, I knew the fact which says we need to sow if we want God to bless us (Galatians 6:7-8 and Genesis 12:1-3). But even though I was sowing, there was still no increase in the money as Joel 2:25-26; Isaiah 65:21-22 & Luke 6:38 were promising.

So, I went to God. There has to be something wrong! Lord, you do not steal from people! You do not want money people need for paying their bills! You are not a cold, heartless God who doesn’t care how your people are hurting financially! You do not say to your people, I do not care if you’re hurting or not, you better give me your tithe or you will be in big trouble with Me. What am I doing wrong?

Through a series of teachings from different sources, the Lord gave me the understanding of how to pick out the important information of each series of lessons and put them together. I realize there has not been a full understanding or teaching (1) on Jesus’ seed, time, and harvest in Matthew, Mark and Luke; (2) on tithing (Matthew 6:19-20); or (3) on God’s prosperity (Deuteronomy 8:18 & Proverbs 10:22). Thus, God began to teach me what He wanted me to know on the subject of money, and I would like to pass it on to you.

Please take the time to think about this lesson. God requires us to tithe for our own benefits. The Jewish people have proven this information to be a fact by doing God’s laws and tithing. And because they do, God has prospered many of the Jewish people (Deuteronomy 8:18).

This is how Galatians 6:7-8 works in our lives. When we need God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit’s "Favor", we must sow into God’s Kingdom FIRST, before we can draw on His intervention in our lives (Galatians 6:7-8; Luke 7:1-5 & Acts 10:1-4). We will go into more detail on these facts throughout the book.

CHAPTER 2

No Good Goods I

IN THE LAST CHAPTER , we were discussing the fact that, even though the clergy promises the church people will receive some kind of a blessing in return for the offerings given to them, very few people have received the blessings promised. So I went to the Lord and asked Him to show me what was wrong. He gave me His answer by revealing revelation knowledge to me from the scriptures and from some of the different lessons which have been taught throughout the years.

Before we begin, I want you to know whatever is said will be directly from God’s Word. As I have said before, my promise to you is to never use my own ideas, opinions or words in this ministry, unless it is to show you how the Holy Spirit used scripture to teach me God and Jesus’ Words.

You need to know. Before the Holy Spirit allowed me to share these lessons with you, He guided me and caused me to live through Jesus’ Words first. This was so He could have me speak with experience behind the teachings, and NOT just hearsay. Also, this was completed to let YOU know—YOU can do Jesus’ Words in the physical, in your life as well as they were done in mine. We can do our Lord’s Words because He lived them FIRST and set the way for us to follow in His footsteps (I Peter 2:21 & I John 2:6). Even though these teachings were completed in my life (by using only scripture), I am hoping you will see and understand it is the Holy Spirit speaking to you and not me.

To begin, the Lord showed me, this generation has been sold a bill of No Good Goods. This fact has to be obvious, because if what the preacher, teacher, pastor, prophet or evangelist has told us was entirely true, then the whole church body would be prosperous by now. We can know this is true because, Deuteronomy 18:17-22 tells us, if what was said by the prophet came from God, then the prophet’s words would have come true in our lives within a short time (Genesis 26:1-12).

But, if what was said did not come to pass, then we can know the Lord was NOT completely in the sermon given.

"And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put MY WORDS in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto MY WORDS which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath NOT spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath NOT spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him."

Deuteronomy 18:17-22

The Prophet God raised up is Jesus (Y’shua). We know this fact because, we are told, Jesus is the only person who has ever spoken God’s Words without making a mistake. Therefore, everything this Prophet said either DID come to pass, or is coming to pass as ongoing events are unfolding before our eyes. There has never been a time when Y’shua’s Words have not come to pass.

However, the bill of No Good Goods which was sold to us says: If we want God to be able to bless us as according to Malachi 3:10, Luke 6:38 & John 10:10; the only requirements we must commit to are to believe in Jesus, in and on His name, and to tithe! There are some ministers who also tell us to bless people if we want God to bless us (Genesis 12:1-3). And all these things are right. We must be believers in Jesus and in His name and depend on Him and His name! We must also tithe! And we must also bless people if we want God to bless us! But, being told these are the only requirements mandatory in order to be blessed by God cannot be entirely from God.

We can know this is true, because even though many of us have tithed for years, we still have not been blessed in the way we were promised by the Bible. Indeed, some of the clergy have backed off on promising the big blessing. They now only claim that you will be blessed in one way or another.

Again, we can know this teaching is not entirely true either. Because; most of the times, we are not even receiving the little blessings promised. Many times, in spite of the fact we tithe, or sow a seed; our lives remain the same as before we gave our money. Yes, there have been some victories here and there, but it really isn’t enough to "write home
