DEDICATION

This, my second book, is dedicated to my heavenly Father, of whom I am so very proud, to His Son, Jesus Christ, who forever sits at the right hand of His Father in glory, and to the Holy Spirit who keeps me from day-to-day. Moving in the Power of God in the 21st Century is also dedicated to all South Africans, who have come so far in such an incredibly short span of time. I would like to dedicate my book to the memory of my parents (Robert {Bobby} Roberts Sr., and to Gladys {Moody} Roberts), who both passed away in 2007, within just two weeks of one another. I am what I am because of what they were. Finally, I must dedicate this book to all the members, friends and associates of the Mission of Hope Ministries International in Durban (Newlands East), South Africa.

PREFACE

The Calling and Qualifications of a True Prophet of God.

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet… (Jeremiah 1:5-KJV)

What is a prophet one may query? Simply put a prophet is one whose mouth has touched to speak for God. Then flew one of the seraphim unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from off the altar: and he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin is purged (Isaiah 1:6, 7).

The true prophet of God stands at the walls to see what the Lord is doing that he may call the church to respond appropriately. His task upon the walls of the city of God claim him entirely.

Prophet Akida is just that kind of prophet, one who stands at the wall and looks over, and sees what others cannot see. He is a true seer-not a fortune-teller or Sangoma, but a prophet of the most High God.

He is a prophet who has been saturated with the Word of Knowledge, as described in the Word of God (1 Corinthians 12:8-KJV). By definition, the Word of Knowledge is "a supernatural revelation of facts about a person or situation, which is not learned through the natural mind, but is a fragment of knowledge freely given by God, disclosing truth which the Holy Spirit desires to be known about that person or situation (Fan the Flame, by Billy Mitchell, 1982).

Prophet Akida simply looks at an individual, and is able to see into their life, and reveal hidden secrets, and specifically predict what the future holds for that person, even it is means death. His predictions and his Word of Knowledge are amazingly accurate. He does not provide vague and ambiguous predictions like, You are going to have trouble in your life. He actually tells you specifically what type of trouble and approximately when it will occur. Most so-called prophets of today spew only vague and unproved generalities, but not Prophet Akida, He is able to accomplish these feats only by the power of the Holy Spirit, and as the Spirit of God directs.

Prophet Akida forth tells, which means he brings forth and communicates the will of God. As a genuine prophet, he is the mouthpiece of God, and has been commissioned by God to speak on His behalf.

The body of Christ today needs prophets more than ever, because "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secrets unto his servants the prophets" (Amos 3:7-KJV). In other words, the heavenly Father will not act without the seeing cry of His prophets summoning the body to give no rest in ceaseless prayer until He establishes Jerusalem (the Church) and makes praise on earth. Surely God does reveal Himself and His secrets to prophet Akida.

Prophet Akida realizes that he has absolutely no power in himself—all that he accomplishes is made possible by the Holy Spirit’s power. If he or another prophet neglects this reality he or she will utterly fail, and also be held accountable by the living God.

Prophet Akida has never, and will never charge a fee for his service. As he gives, the Lord gives back to him through men. God will judge in an awful way any prophet who collects money for his prophetic gifting. Indeed, if people give to a prophet it opens a way for the Lord to give to the people. In the same way the Lord makes his prophets dependent upon the people.

A true prophet insists on piercing to the core of the matter-any matter, and answering people not according to their queries, but according to what is in their sinful hearts. Prophet Akida does just that!

Finally, true prophets of God are intended by their functions as leaders and guides, to be out ahead-even though such positions carry with them loneliness, misunderstanding, and great responsibility. Not only that, but hostility and rejection shown to God’s true watchmen, as the prophet Hosea came to discover (Hosea (9:8-KJV)

Prophet Akida has suffered much over the years of his prophet ministry, and continues to be persecuted because is a watchman, a true prophet of God.

FORWARD

I am so honored to have been asked to write the Forward for Pastor Akida’s second book, Moving in the Power of God in the 21st Century. I have the unprecedented pleasure and. most unique opportunity to know and work with him for the past seven years, and during that time have discovered that he is an individual who does what few preachers do, he actually lives the very life he preaches about in his sermons.

I have also witnessed first hand literally hundreds of predictions and prophetic utterances that Prophet Akida has made, come true. Not only were his predictions fulfilled, but also happened in every detail just as he described beforehand. Prophet Akida is not a fortune-teller as some may assume; but when one is in his presence he gets the feeling that he is actually in the presence of a true servant of God. Indeed, a rare prophet of God.

Because I know Prophet Akida, I am convinced that what he describes as his first volume of Moving in the Power of God in the 21st Century has been written with an abundance of prayer, fasting and meditation.

The reader will so be able to experience the highs and lows, the ups and downs, the tears and the laughter as an American missionary, evangelist and prophet of God, ministers among the people of Africa.

You will feel and experience firsthand the awesome power of God changing the lives of Africans, as Prophet Akida ministers under the direction, influence and anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Prophet Akida Sababu has been travelling to Africa since 1998, and has been preaching and ministering in South Africa since 2002.

Pastor Akida, as he is called in South Africa, founded and oversees the Mission of Hope Ministries International, which opened its doors in Wentworth, a suburb of Durban, in 2002. Mission of Hope presently has its main assembly in Newlands East, also in Durban.

Pastor Akida’s first book entitled, Evolution of a Revolution, was published in 1995, when he was still in a backslidden and rebellious condition. "Moving in the Power of God in the 21st Century represents a complete 360 degree turnabout in Prophet Akida’s life. He has been transformed by the grace and power of God, from a black militant and sophisticated gangster into the apple of God’s eye, a true man of God. Once one meets this humble giant of the faith, he will never be the same. In fact, his life may well be completely changed!

Moving in the Power of God in the 21st Century explores up close, just a few of the hundreds, perhaps thousands of lives who have been touched by the ministry, healings, miracles and the prophetic power of this mighty, but humble servant of God.

Everything that happens from this point in Prophet Akida’s life amount to nothing more than an anti-climax. I believe he can truly say like the late, great African-American civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., I’ve been to the mountain top and I’ve looked over, and I’ve seen the Promised Land. My eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.

Sitting at the Well of Revelation

The First Step to Moving in the Power of God

Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well (John 4:6).

The times in which we are living, are the calm before the storm.

If you have ever experienced a tornado, hurricane, or even a violent storm, you know that there is an eerie quietness—an almost tranquil peace just prior to nature releasing its mighty power.

The forces of both good and evil are assembling their minions for the greatest battle to be fought in the history of humankind. This climatic battle will begin as a spiritual confrontation—for the hearts, minds, and souls of mankind. This will ultimately lead to the epic battle to end all battles—the final battle, which will pit the devil, his demons, and the human forces under his control, against none other than Jesus Christ himself, along with a myriad of angels and glorified saints.

Matt. 13:29, 30 (KJV) says, But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let them both grow together until the harvest; and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers (angels), Gather ye first the tares (weeds), and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat (children of God) into my barn.

It is also a time pruning and purging of the Church of God. The true saints of the Most High are being prepared, purified, pruned, and tried, and in the course of this awesome and awful preparation will be subjected to some of the most difficult and severe tests and trials that they have faced up to this time in their lives.

The Word of God clearly declares: And God shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: he shall purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness (Mal. 3:3-KJV).

IT IS TIME TO GET READY!! The Body of Christ is being prepared for Battle!

Matthew 24:7-10 tells us: "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines and pestilence (diseases), and earthquakes, in different places. All these are the beginning of sorrows (but this will be only the beginning of the horrors to come.) They shall deliver you to be afflicted (you will be arrested and persecuted), and shall kill you: and ye shall hate of all nations for my name’s sake (you will be hated all over the world because of your allegiance and loyalty to Jesus Christ" (NLT).

The saints of the Most High God are being prepared for fire—the tribulation, which will ultimately test what our works are made of. Indeed, the great apostle Paul expressed the very same sentiments when he uttered the following warning to the church hundreds of centuries ago. Everyone’s work will be put through the fire to see whether or not it keeps its value. If he work survives the fire, the builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builders themselves will be saved, but like someone escaping through a wall of flames (1 Cor. 3:13-16-NLT).

The time of fire has already begun in some parts of the world. Twenty-three Korean Christians were kidnapped by the Taliban (a guerilla group) in the country of Afghanistan while doing evangelical work in a hospital.)

IT HAS ALREADY BEGUN!

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, ‘Give Me a drink.’ For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, ‘How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?’ For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Jesus answered and said to her, ‘If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is who says to you, Give me a drink, you would asked Him, and He would have given you living water.’ The woman said to Him, ‘Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?’ Are You greater than our father, Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?’ Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, and but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:7-14).

The first Steps to Moving in Power is Sitting at the Well

The Samaritan woman had no idea that she was standing in the very presence of the Bread and Water of Life. All she had to do was to drink and be satisfied and eat and filled, and she would never thirst or hunger again. However, if we are to receive benefit from this divine sustenance we must hunger and thirst to be filled at the well of divine revelation. We must no longer be satisfied at partaking from the water that flows on the surface, but we must dig until we reach the bottom of the well. For at the bottom is where the deep revelation resides.

Prayer and intercession are the keys to entering into a higher dimension of intimacy with God. You must labor patiently at the well. It is a wonderful place of intimacy with God. He longs for us to get beyond ourselves and begin to serve Him as praying, function, Holy Spirit-filled priests. Many of God’s people have tasted only the top of the well of His presence.

God’s great disappointment was caused by the majority of believers who had rejected His invitation to drink from the depths of the well. Because of their unwillingness and impatience, they refused to draw up truth for themselves. Instead, they chose to drink from the revelation obtained by a small minority of individuals who were willing to pay the price to obtain the deeper water. While the great majority was nourished to a degree by this drink from someone else’s cup, they would never know the joy and the sheer delight of drawing the water of revelation out of the heart of God for themselves. Only those who truly thirst will be satisfied from the depths of God’s revelation.

DEEP CALLS TO DEEP (Psalm 42:7)

In the coming days God will release His truth. Those who wait in His presence shall bring up new truth from the depths of His heart. This fresh revelation shall release entire nations and peoples. Keys of understanding that are needed to unlock strategic doors and solve puzzles and mysteries will be given to those who draw deeply from God’s well. God will pour His revelation from the depths of His wisdom into those who have yielded their minds and hearts to Him (see Job 11:7-9).

There are many blessings that result in the lives of those who draw from the depths of God’s well of revelation. Jesus was totally yielded and obedient to the Father. Therefore, God did not give the Spirit by measure unto him (John 3:34). We can only receive power as a gift, through yielding and obeying.

Truly great men and women of faith have gone continually to the secret place and found His holiness, His righteousness, and His truth until they have been found in Him, purified and bold in faith.

So if we are to gain insight and revelation from the well and depth of the Holy Spirit, we must be willing to wait at the well of His presence and wait and wait and wait, until God gives us the revelation that He desires us to have. We must be willing and patient enough to wait until God opens the door to the Holy of Holies, and allows us to enter behind the veil of the curtain. Further, we must permit no one or nothing to distract or keep us from entering into our secret place, the place where we commune with Almighty, and where the Almighty, the Creator God communes with His people.

This is the place where mysteries are solved; the place where God gives us the treasures of darkness, and we receive the hidden riches of secret places. This is the place of elevation. This is the place of a new dimension, the place where we walk and talk God with and our voices ring with laugher in the Spirit.

A Life of Self-Denial

What does it actually mean to be a disciple of Christ? It means to come after Him. When Christ called His disciples, this was the word of command. Follow Me. A true disciple of Christ follows Him
