    VISIONS OF MYSTIC REALITIES is just the first of several books that will be allowing the reader to venture through the experiences and memories of the author and many others. This book is intended to allow one to see things from various different perspectives and encourages the reader to imagine or picture their own adventure.

    Drew Timm has been writing poetry since he was twelve years old. He has also been posting his philosophical utterances on his blog for some time now. As a child he experienced many hardships and struggles and found that writing about those events was the best way to express them. In his writings, he speaks of love, life, death, loss, heart ache, misery, war, the wilderness, and many other things. He has contemplated sharing them publicly for over twenty years. He has recently decided to put them in print in the hope that they may help someone else to understand some of the struggles and challenges in their life. He also wanted to allow the reader to see in their mind an image of what things like love and happiness look like. Drew has received his AS in Law Enforcement from Inver Hills College and is currently completing his BA at Metropolitan State University in Minnesota. In his first book, "Visions of Mystic Realities," he touches on a large portion of those past experiences. Drew has been sharing some of these poems and some of his philosophical utterances on facebook as well. He hopes to be able to touch others through these words. His life has now become dedicated to writing as an injury took him from his love of Law Enforcement and Corrections. He is excited to be able to dedicate his time ti writing and sharing with his readers. Drew is from St.Paul, Minnesota's Frogtown area and now resides with his family in a rural community. He has found a peacefulness in the wilderness and he hopes to continue to be inspired by the natural wonders of our universe.       A Word From The Author

      Often I found myself writing on napkins or a guest check at a restaurant. I found myself consumed by the likes of others’ love and despair, or maybe it was my own. I was able to see in those things that lay before me, a reality unlike that of others in my world. It became apparent at a very young age of twelve or so that I was indeed heading towards a new dimension within my own cognitive functions. Some questioned what it was that caused me to write those things, those words, the poems, the stories, but I never realized the realities of them as they flowed so elegantly from my pen onto the paper. I realize now that it was simply a way of expressing those things that have complicated and confused so many for so long.

      It was the pen in my hand and the paper beneath that become my pallet. I wrote many things that were abstract in nature and yet colorful in their very creation. Over the past twenty-five years, I have kept many of those writings close at hand. Even when another destroyed my lasting memories, I still managed to retain the very words that I had written for you so many years of past. There were many times that I wanted to share those words with the world, but it only seemed as if it were a temporary function. Since those days and years have past, I have decided to share with you the essence of my being along with that of others that have touched me during my life.

      As you transcend through the journey of my works, please take a moment to understand the specific meaning of those words that relate to you now and in your past. I wrote these words for you and now is the time to share them with you. Remember a time and place when all was lost, or a time and place when all was found and all was filled with love, or even a time when someone or something
