About this ebook
Betty Davis
My poetry and philosophies shows others how to deal with life and learn how to make good decisions. Some of the poetry I wrote later in my life, showed the good decisions I made a good outcome. My writings tells about the life I have lived, happiness and heartaches one must will make, yet realizing that fate will interfere in the life. God is in control. God makes all decisions now and final.

Daily Test
I wake up in the morning and wonder what I should do
To show my appreciation for having made it through
I can’t change my yesterday
But I can begin my life anew
We all face troubles, trials, and tribulations
Sometimes become overpowered by situations
Many people give up, some people give in
Once we lose hope, we believe we can’t win
Life is a challenge
And I’m still up for the task
Because no matter how great the burden,
THIS TOO SHALL PASS
Never be afraid
Of what God has in store for you
As long as you believe
He will always see you through
You may not understand
But your part in this test
Is only to remember
That God knows what is best
I lift my heart to Him
And thank God for another day
I ask Him to guide me
Before I get on my way
Stay with me Lord
This to You I Pray
Let It Go
The hardest thing I have ever learned
Was how to let go ‘before’ I get burned
I keep my eyes open so I can read between the lines
I can’t believe all I see, but I can recognize the signs
Some people say they really care
But when you need them, they’re never there
How do you let go of family
When sometimes they’re your own worst enemy?
Then there are friends you’ve known all your life
They talk behind your back, and bring nothing but strife
When people say one thing, but then do another
They pretend to be your friend and keep jealousy under cover
Can’t forget those who smiled to my
