    It is the Earth year 2882; Professor Kay Vogel has arrived at the north pole of Mars on a very important assignment. Her mission, geotechnical drilling deep into Mars, a project that is key to the success of the ongoing Mars Terra-forming operation, called Trinity. However, something is very wrong at the remote
    polar drilling base, CIRAM-One. Unexplained things are happening and people are starting to die.

    C. K. Prothro is the author of the Dark Solar System Series, an anthology of the future. He has been writing Sci-fi/thriller and Horror stories as a hobby since the 1970s. C. K. Prothro has a considerable body of unpublished work that he plans on turning into the Dark Solar System Series. He is a “not retired” emeritus professor of geology at an upstate New York Community College. He has also been a visiting and adjunct lecturer at several colleges in Central New York. C.K.
