The name of the Lord is truly a “STRONG TOWER.” We all know as a Woman walking w/God (AWww/God) there are victories, storms, challenges, life changes, family obligations, tough times, unexpectancies, smiles, and tears. Because we represent God we have to be very, very, very careful about what we say, the company we keep, how we act, what we get used to, keep our faith strong and stirred, pray constantly and TRUST God. Since God is always on our side, it is because of Him we can only survive. In Him we don’t fail, and we are confident in this-it is all because of who God is!       This book is lovingly dedicated to the many fond memories made with all of my beloved family and friends while on earth before they departed to heaven. Many of who provided and surrounded me with so much love, attention, wisdom, spiritual guidance, help, fun and friendship. For this I am grateful and I give glory to God.

      FOREWORD

      Over 25 years ago, I met the author of God POCKETS-A Woman walking with God. I was barely 19 and she was about 23. At that time, we both were married with one child, both daughters. My daughter, being the oldest was almost 2 years old, and her daughter was about 10 months. Neither of us knew that when we first met it would result in my opportunity to experience some of the inspirations written in this book. Throughout the years we had so many similarities, which I believe is what drew us together to become the best of friends and sisters, even today.

      Through many years of us sharing our lunch, our thoughts, difficulties, prayer requests, dialoguing about life issues, our children, our families, our jobs, our achievements, shopping, dreams of writing books and most of all communicating and experiencing God’s goodness and greatness. Yes God’s greatness. Both of us have encountered tragedies in our lives, the sudden death of her daughter’s father, and when I lost my oldest daughter to sickle cell, when she was 23. You get that 23 the same age the author was when I met her. Over and over God’s greatness is apparent time and time again. I was there then for her, she helped me, and is still encouraging me through the difficulty of my eldest daughter’s death. I believe the inspirations from God POCKETS-A Woman walking with God, are encouragement too.

      We always thought I would be the first one to write my book, considering my dreams to write, and my whole life being a living testimony. Significantly, this number 23 is the author’s birth date, March 23, and her favorite number is 23. Also, my birth date is 2 months and 3 days from her birthday. Notice how the similarities occur with us, and our lives have paralleled in so many ways.

      Let’s look at a few of the similarities:
