Preface
God Is Still Speaking is a book that the Lord placed within my spirit to encourage us in the times that we are living in to let us know that we are not alone, and that God is still on the throne. It does not matter what it looks like, but what we must be aware of is the truth concerning the word of God.
God, in his majesty and power, still wants his people to put their trust in him, for he is still God, and there is no other besides him. God is calling for his people to be more faithful and steadfast than ever before, while he is still looking for someone that will remain in faith in him as well as his word. We need to be assured more than ever before that God is speaking to those that will listen to him through and by his spirit.
He that hath an ear let him hear what the spirit is saying, for my sheep; they know my voice and a stranger they will not obey.
We need the word of God to help us through our everyday struggles, so when discouragement and disappointment are all around, we can depend on the righteousness of the word of God to make it through the day.
We need the word of God more now than ever before, with so many things going on in the land, our tomorrow seems uncertain, but we can take confidence in what God is saying. God is a god that sits high and looks low; he knows what will take place today, tomorrow, and throughout eternity. What we, the people of God, need to do is focus on building a true and wholesome relationship with the Father.
When we allow this to happen, we will know his voice and follow his leading, and not doubt in our hearts. It is one thing to say we believe in God, but in the times of testing faith, we find ourselves doing just the opposite of what we say we believe. We, as mere men and women, will be faced with some type of situation and circumstance all the days of our lives, but God himself loves us so much that he gave his son as a ransom for us, that we would not have to go through these things alone.
Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, has come and redeemed us back to our original place in God from the beginning, but we have to accept it through faith by confessing that what is written is such. The word of God declares that the power of life and death is in the tongue, and we shall have whatsoever we say.
We live in a time in which our trust has to be in the Lord, more than ever before; the word of God plainly states that some trust in horses, and some trust in chariots, but we shall put our trust in the Lord. There is nothing in this land secure but the word of God and your relationship with him. God desires to have fellowship with his creation, but communication is two-fold, as we minister to God, he, in return, will minister to us, according to the needs that are in our lives. The Bible says that he is not a God that cannot be touched by the infirmities of his people. God said that I am not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
As a natural father loves and nurtures his children, it is the same manner in which God desires to love and nurture us as well. God told us through his word to come unto me all ye that are laden and heavy laden and I will give you rest.
There is a hiding place that we can get to in God, that we will not be moved by everything that will take place in our lives. I want to let you know that if you continue to walk with God and put your trust in him, you will be able to say as Beersheba said, The half have not been told, for the best is yet to come.
We need to know more than ever before that our redeemer lives, because he lives within us. Job, in one of his trials, cried out and said, I know that it’s been a long time coming, but I knew that a change was going to come.
Expect change to come and it will, according to your faith be it unto you, because God is still speaking. My prayer is that our eyes will come open to the fullness of who Jesus really is.
The words that Jesus spoke in the beginning have shaped the world in which we now live. A lot of people act as if there is no God, nor do they even want to acknowledge that he is speaking. But in the midst of those who do not believe, or those that say they believe and will sometimes doubt, God is as real today as he was in the days of old. The word of God has already told us that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. We know that according to the word of God, the spirit of God moved upon men and they began to write as the spirit gave them utterance. So we need to realize that it is all about God, who he is, and the purpose for which he came to serve humanity, and to give us, his creation, another opportunity to serve him, not through our flesh, but through his spirit that came to dwell in the heart of men.
God Is Still Speaking
While we yet live in a world created and formed by our heavenly Father, we cannot go into the future, where God wants us to be, without going back to the beginning. The beginning is where we must start in order to know God’s intentions for his creation.
We must know our purpose and reason for existence, and it will only be known to us when we allow the God of Creation to be manifested in us through his image. We need to know that, apart from God, we have no purpose or identity. Our life source would be centered only on the person of who he is. So, in order for us to remain in fellowship, we had to stay connected to the openness of God and not allow anything to interfere with this relationship.
We know that man was created in the image of God, after his likeness, and that God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being. We know that God gave man dominion and authority over all his creation – over all the animals, and everything that creepeth upon the earth.
God also formed woman to be a helpmate to man. God blessed them and told them to multiply and replenish the earth. He also gave them the counsel of what should be done, and that, which should not be. He told the man that he had made that of every tree in the garden, that thou mayest freely eat, except the tree of knowledge – good and evil. Because in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die.
Now the command from God had been given to Adam and in order for him to continue to have dominion, he had to be obedient to the voice of the Lord. "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field, which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, ‘Yea, hath God said, ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?’ And the woman said unto the serpent, ‘we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.’
And the serpent said unto the woman, ‘ye shall not surely die:
