About this ebook
This is a fictional story based on the Bible characters mentioned. King Solomon is obsessed with his love for a woman he cannot have. Power is on his side, but spiritual history, the fear of repeating the sins of his father King David against his mother's first husband, haunt him. The one woman he felt was worth the whole kingdom to him takes his jealousy to another level. She marries beneath King Solomon's status denying him a rival he can fight with. Emmanuel Ben Judah is a Shepherd who wins the heart of a woman pursued by the wisest, richest, and most powerful man in the land. As a last resort, King Solomon decides to take his fight to Abishag in a song. The Song of Solomon is both an attack on her and hopeless attempt to woo her back. The King's adviser insists he must let go of this woman if he is to enjoy his life as a king.

I am a debtor to God from whom all blessings flow and without whom nothing else matters. I also want to acknowledge my wife and our children who allow me some space and time to write and share with God's larger family. Last but not least, we as a family in voluntary missionary work owe tons of thanks to our friends and supporters who pray for us, especially they few who both pray and support our ministry financially. May this little book cause those who read my works to take time to enjoy the Song of Solomon’s rich message!
Chapter 1: Let Her Go!
Zabud Ben Natan walked into the palace not knowing whether King Solomon’s call was going to be another heavy matter
or a light one. He rarely calls because he would rather wait for Zabud to come at the daily appointed time, that is, after king Solomon’s breakfast. He was somewhat troubled by the fact that King Solomon had called him in well before the royal breakfast was served. Advising a man reputed to be gifted by God with greater wisdom than his contemporaries is never an easy task. Zabud knew he needed the wisdom of God every time his king bounced hot issues on him. He knew that his opinion was always the second or third opinion confirming what King Solomon already figured out in his own wise consideration.
Being a priest in the royal court while the High Priest (Zabud’s leader) was excluded presented a difficult position both ways. He was now walking into the palace beyond the court where official palace servants and guests were not allowed to go because he was a personal friend of the king. Being a friend of a man who has the power of life and death over you is always tricky. Zabud did not take this friendship for granted and as was his custom, he
