God Answered Me: Chapter Two

About this ebook
Longing to be loved within that world of child maltreatment is a universe of emotions as music is written. Reflections playing with our minds at different times. The wings of darkness, illumination of spiritual aspirations and those reins, hold sanity from a fall. With this I shall say, never do I write which is not felt and neither shall I write what is not understood. Child abuse will steal twenty or more years of your life, as it took my siblings one by one.

God’s Magic
Mysteries of the heavens and intelligence craved an ongoing future within my lifetime. This is where I say, The phenomenon goes on for a reason.
To have escaped, as I trust, a horrible fate of having a significant impediment of childhood maltreatment, what my siblings and I endured was the security of a God-given endowment. The same question would arise from others when sharing parts of my life: How did you manage?
My answers may seem quite odd, considering how horrifically our lives continued to exist. God’s magic, I believe, is first and foremost. As a child, the beauty of the outside world captivated me; it devoured my mind. Singing to the trees and the sky and spending time studying the roots, leaves, and colors of plants. Resting in the grass watching the clouds soothed my soul and nourished my mind. However, not being exposed to others and their families played a major role in accepting child maltreatment as a normal part of life. I couldn’t observe how others lived in their homes. Therefore, my life had been just as normal as anyone else’s. Sporadic intriguing events that took place and appeared during childhood were accepted as any other event that came in my direction.
Of the innumerable stories I need to share, is the day my cousin and I took a walk down along this country road. Guessing the time frame was my second class year or the beginning of my third year, my cousin was a year older than I, and she had a style with words. Taking heed of her chattering, calm tone among towering trees and the eerie silence the woods carried to a degree was enchanting. Wearing a dark blue tank top and light blue shorts, her short blonde hair and thin build was the core of attention against the backdrop of these mysterious, yet fascinating, towering trees. The green foliage ran up alongside this dirt road which led the way for as far as one could survey. Suddenly, we were startled by a young boy appearing from the woods; he ran outward alongside the road. Quickly, he reached down and retrieved a bicycle covered by the high grass, riding away in a hustle.
As children will be, our desire to find out why this young boy ran away grabbed our curiosity, which drew us into the location he emerged from. Flaming excitement burned throughout to seek and obtain the mystery, and it drove us carelessly to a narrow dirt path that passed away as we went on to move inward. Swiping the growing densely thick foliage from side to side, we formed a new, undiscovered pathway as we raced forward. Children as we were, unable to understand what lies before us,
