    Meet Mystery Inc.

    CHAPTER ONE

    CREEPY CREATURES

    Scooby-Doo and the rest of the gang climbed out of the Mystery Machine. They looked around the empty parking lot. The setting sun made the deserted lot look extra creepy.

    Like, where is everyone? asked Shaggy.

    It must be near closing time, suggested Daphne.

    The Mystery Inc. gang walked across the parking lot toward the main entrance. They passed under an old sign that read City Zoo.

    Boy, Scott really should replace that sign, said Fred.

    I can see why your friend invited us here, said Velma. This place looks haunted.

    Shaggy and Scooby-Doo stopped in their tracks.

    A haunted zoo? asked Shaggy.

    A raunted roo? repeated Scooby.

    Like, what can be scarier than that? asked Shaggy.

    I’m sure it’s not haunted, said Fred. My friend, Scott McFadden, said that he had a mystery that only Mystery Inc. can solve.
