About this ebook

Katja from Simon Logan’s award-winning Katja From the Punk Band is back. Free and on the mainland, she emerges from hiding, only to find herself hunted by debt collectors, mad surgeons, and a corrupt detective, all of whom will stop at nothing to claim her for their own. And behind this scramble lies the twisted mind of an old adversary, desperate to have his revenge. Replete with dark humour, chaotic storytelling, and a fast-paced Industrial thriller setting, Get Katja is the latest novel from the author of Pretty Little Things to Fill Up the Void, Nothing Is Inflammable, and I-O.

While this book doesn't quite have the driving intensity of its predecessor, KATJA FROM THE PUNK BAND, where the title character and several others were desperate to get off a prison-like island, it benefits from the same seamless, highly intricate plotting and a very convincing setting. Logan's favorite technique is to have something important happen, then back up to provide the events leading up to the incident. This technique, used so frequently, really shouldn't work so well, but it is a testament to Logan's brilliance that not only does it work, but as a reader we look forward to it. Logan is as good a pure writer as I have read in quite a while. If you are looking for nonstop action that won't let you down, he is right up there with Duane Swierczynski and Anthony Neil Smith.
