      About the Author

      Trevor Savage watched his friend Dane drive away from the house and smiled.  For once in the past ten years he was going to enjoy himself and just relax.  Dane’s house, located on a secluded section of land high on a hill overlooking the mighty Ohio River was the perfect place to do just that. 

      The country air engulfed him with its freshness, unlike the air in the city.  He inhaled a deep, satisfying breath and turned to look at Dane’s house.  It was his pleasure to house sit, even though Dane had told him that he couldn’t get anyone to come up here and stay since everyone swore the house was haunted. 

      Doesn’t look haunted, he commented, his words drifting away on the wind.  It was a two-story house and Dane had installed white siding and trim, to update from the shingle siding that had been on it.  Dane had painted and repaired the old wrap-around porch that ran the whole circumference of the house.  It was looking very nice.  The old picket fence still needed to be painted, and some missing slats replaced and Trevor intended to do that while he was here.  It would feel good to be doing some physical labor again and seeing his work materialize into something good.  He didn’t mind giving his old friend a hand
