Failure and Success: Life's Greatest Couple Part I
()
About this ebook
In Part One of this two part ebook series, I touch on many reasons that we, as individuals, are unable to accomplish our goals or find the level of success that we desire. All too often, we blame those around us or obstacles that stopped us, or whatever excuses we can to give meaning and reason to why we seem to fail. This book is the stepping stone to understanding these reasons and realizing that it doesn't have to be that way anymore. In order to make better of yourself, it all begins with you...and only YOU! When we can hold ourselves accountable and make our ventures more worthwhile by embracing those failures, we have just taken the first step to achieving results. And in doing so, we are introduced to Life's Greatest Couple - Failure and Success...and why they always seem to go hand-in-hand.

I was raised by a single mother, born in Orlando having lived in South Jersey and the last several years in South Florida. After having attended the University of Florida as a Microbiology major, I took time off from school, moved home to South Florida, and started in the restaurant business. I decided to go back to school, majoring in forensic science and soon realized my love for writing and film. I then attended the University of Miami, dual enrolling as a Motion Pictures/English major with an emphasis on creative writing. I am divorced, have a daughter on the verge of teenager-hood, and thoroughly enjoyed my experience writing my first book, From Boy to Man: Memoirs of a Single Dad. In 2019, I completed my first fictional novel, The W.A.N.D. Epic - Book One: The Foretelling. I spent a year reworking it, editing it and now it is available for purchase and will be the first book in a five-book series of the W.A.N.D. Epic.

Failure and Success - J. Martin Turner
Introduction
I have one word to describe you…SLACKER! Yes, McFly. I'm talking to you.
Oh no?
How about QUITTER? FAITHLESS? EXCUSE-DRIVEN?
Better? Am I getting close?
Whether you want to believe it or not, you are not successful because you don't want to be, plain and simple. The idea of you achieving success is great – wonderful, in fact! Whether it's for weight loss, starting a business, writing a novel, getting promoted, changing your lifestyle – you are not successful and it's all your fault. The idea may be great. But as an idea, it really doesn't exist because you have nothing to prove it. An idea is only as good as the brain it marinates in…unless you are willing to spill the beans and make it a reality.
So far, do you agree? If you do, then you are on the right path to realizing that the only way to success MUST begin with you…and anything that you can't achieve is equally on you, too.
You don't agree? Why? Because it's everyone else's fault? Because blah blah kept you from achieving blah blah? Because blah blah got in the way? Because you were about to start and blah blah stopped you?
EXCUSES!!! At the end of the day, it's still all your fault!
Now do you agree?
Let's face it; you are your own worst enemy. And equally as much, you are your own best friend. You are your own support. Sure, it's nice to have people around, backing you on your venture. But at the end of the day you only have one person to answer to – YOU!
Chapter 1: Let's Be Honest
I could sit here and type up several scenarios and situations and how they all ended up badly. At the end of the day, they mean nothing because that
