Dreams - Fascinating Interpretations of Your Dreams and Their Mysterious Meanings - John Franz

    Chapter 1

A Look at What Dreams Really Are

There are many beliefs on what dreams actually are, but dreams occur when we are unconscious and deep in sleep. A man named Sigmund Freud believed that they were windows into our unconscious. Dreams are images that our mind conjures while we are asleep, and they can include the five senses. It’s not as frightening as it sounds, but it is the only thing that keeps us from acting out dreams in the physical world. This makes dreaming safer.

So why do we dream? Does anyone know?

People know what dreams are, but people do not yet understand why we dream. There is a lot of speculation on the subject, but it is an indisputable fact that dreams help to benefit us mentally and emotionally. There are even some benefits that reach into the physical
