One would be hard-pressed to find a citizen of the planet Drubar who has never heard the legend of Slurptooth. Stories about this largest of space slugs, his planet-engulfing mouth and the rotating razor fangs on each one of his thousands of teeth had made their way to every planet within four galaxies of the most industrialized planet in that sector.
The legends filled in the blanks of what was not known about this terrifying monstrosity. All that was known for sure is that he emerged directly from the center of planets, bursting from city-sized holes, crushing the rest of the planet with his powerful jaws before the dirt crumbs of said planet were sucked into the vacuum-like suction created by his individual teeth. No one knew how he got there, whether or not eggs from an older giant slug had been laid inside of the planet. If so, when and how?
