Reviews for Vikings in America

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This gets one star out of five since I am not sure that clicking no star will count as a rating of no stars. There is much need for a good book on what we know or can reasonably hypothesize about the Viking settlement at L'Anse aux Meadows, but this is not that book. Graeme Davis's book is biased, speculative and superficial. While the status of L'Anse aux Meadows as a Viking outpost is absolutely certain, there is so far no good evidence whatsoever that Vikings ever visited what is now the US. However, the author does not need evidence. He is happy to base his work on wishful thinking, speculation, surmise and misunderstandings.
