About this ebook

Learn About How the Hormone Reset Diet has Changed the Lives of Millions of Women Around the World!

A stereotypical view many people seem to have about women is that they are controlled by their hormones. I'm here to say that's not true. While hormones do play a significant role in the female life, there's no reason for a woman to be a slave to them.

This book is a beginner's guide and cookbook with recipes that are purely designed for those people who are on the hormone reset diet.

The hormone reset diet was developed by Dr. Sarah Gottfried, a gynecologist, and a Harvard medical school graduate. She created the diet to help balance hormones and to help people regain their confidence and lose weight. Just because you are getting older doesn't mean you have to gain weight; the metabolism doesn't slow down just because of age. As you know, hormones are the key to nearly everything that happens in your body, so if they aren't balanced correctly, then there are going to be some side effects. Weight gain is only one of the problems.

One of the primary indications that there could be a hormone imbalance is when you store excess weight in the abdomen region and you have a hard time trying to get rid of it. It doesn't matter what diet you try or how much you exercise, the belly fat stays. This is where the hormone reset diet can help where others can't. It's designed to get your hormone levels back to where they're supposed to be. Once you get everything working correctly again, the fat will start melt away from the stubborn areas.

In this book you will learn:

•    The role hormones play on your body, and Weight Loss
•    How your diet can affect your hormones
•    The different phases of the hormone reset
•    Some Hormone Reset Recipes
•    And much more

Weight loss is a struggle for most people, but this book is here to help you work through those problems. With a few strategic food changes, you will be well on your way to having the body of your dreams and getting your sex drive back.

So please do yourself this favor, and give the Hormone Reset Diet a chance to help change your life!

    Hormones and Their Purpose

A stereotypical view many people seem to have about women is that they are controlled by their hormones. I'm here to say that's not true. While hormones do play a significant role in the female life, there's no reason for a woman to be a slave to them.

The better we understand how hormones affect a female's emotions, mind, and body, the easier it will be to minimize any adverse effects and maximize the positive effects.

Hormones are chemical messengers for your body. They have control over almost every physiological process that takes place in the body, which includes:

    Reproduction

    Menstrual cycle

    Immune system

    Metabolism

Keeping a good hormonal balance is important for the body to function properly. Various foods have the ability to mess up the balance of your hormones. That's why consuming a well-balanced diet is so crucial, especially if you’re getting ready to go through menopause. This transitional phase in a woman's life causes hormonal imbalances and many other uncomfortable symptoms.

Before we start talking about certain types of hormones, let’s look at the process hormones go through from infancy to menopause.

    Infancy

Even though most people only think of hormones as affecting them when they hit puberty, they also affect the body during childhood. Some newborns, girls as well as boys, can experience enlargement of one or both breasts, and this is sometimes accompanied by a small amount of milk production.

Many believe that this is caused by female hormones, estrogens, which are passed from the mother to the baby through the placenta during the gestational period. Another common reasoning is that when the mother’s estrogen levels fall in the baby’s bloodstream, their brain starts to produce prolactin, which can cause some degree of breast enlargement.

This typically goes away after the first few weeks, but this could last longer if the tissue is stimulated in any way. Girls will sometimes experience mild breast enlargement again in their first two years, this time because of their body's hormone production. This enlargement will typically come and go several times over a few months and will sometimes even last years until it goes away during childhood.

    Puberty

When a girl hits puberty, many significant and lasting changes will occur. Breasts will begin to form, hair will start to grow in the underarm and pubic region, and they become taller because of a growth spurt.

Eventually, she will begin to have her period, typically when the growth spurt starts to slow. From start to finish, puberty generally lasts about four years. Some girls will find it difficult to adapt to their evolving body, developing sexuality, fertility onset, and new emotional turbulence as they go from childhood to adolescence.

All the things that are necessary for puberty are present in the body from birth, but it stays dormant until the body is ready to use it. After a while, the parts of the body that were holding puberty back will wind down and then the puberty hormones will be released so that they can influence the body.

The hypothalamus, an area of the brain, will begin to release a growing and frequent wave of the hormone gonadotrophin. This will, in turn, stimulate the pituitary gland to produce the follicle-stimulating hormone, FSH, and luteinizing hormone, LH, which tells the ovaries to begin producing several other hormones.

    Female Sex Hormones

Female sex hormones are the most important hormones produced by the ovaries, and the main two are progesterone and estrogen. Testosterone, a male hormone, is secreted by the ovaries in a small amount.

While in puberty, estrogen will stimulate breast growth and
